What an amazing place - from our first contact to our farwell, we felt welcomed and in good hands. This truly was an exceptional B&B. Our hosts Richard & Sandra have long experience but still bring an obvious fresh delight to their role. Their tastefully decotrated house & stunning garden are immaculate - obviusly a labour of love. We spent 2 nights at this beautiful house surrounded by a peaceful garden and located in the tiny and quaint village of Fordyce, only a few miles away from the attractive seaside villages of Portsoy and Cullen. Richard and Sandra gave us a very kind and friendly welcome and really made us feel at home. Our room was absolutely comfortable,bright,very... More

Sandra and Richard were the perfect hosts. Their B&B is just gorgeous - the grounds beautiful and the rooms large and comfortable. Richard showed us all around the village and told us a lot about the history of the area. We had Sandra and Richard make us dinner one night and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best we... My Husband and I planned a short break, in Fordyce on the recommendation of a friend. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay, then the Academy House B&B. Sandra and Richard are gracious, friendly and most helpful. The breakfast was superb, the surroundings lovely and peaceful. Our room was very comfortable... a perfect place to have a... More

This B&B lived up to it's 5 star rating. We were greeted with tea in the sitting room and a a roaring fire awaited us when we came down to dinner. The food was excellent and the owners Richard and Sandra could not have made us more welcome. The rooms were spotless and the gardens beautiful. The house is in... More
