Charming period property hotel with delightful hosts and staff. Very quirky decor. Lovely views from adequate room, but sadly bed not comfortable. Ideally situated in the high street with parking to the rear. Lovely food. Can recommend, but check bedfirst!

Stayed here for 3 nights through Work and it was a pleasant stay not the best I've stayed in but by far not the worst... room was clean and tidy and warm when heating on although not double glazed so will be cold in winter.... food at night was excellent especially the mushroom soup and steak pie I had and... We had a wedding in Banff and the Banff Springs was full so booked into county, it's very tired looking but bed was comfy. The hotel was very noisy at 7am with lots of banging doors, there was no breakfast menu just what would you like, my husband wanted bacon sausage and hash brown or fried bread but got 1... More

We now have been regulars at the restaurant. Eric is a great chef, the food is always superb and it is by far one of the best top 5 restaurants I've been to in Scotland. The food is really lovely and I feel as if I'm back home in France every time i go to there. We love it.

Very enjoyable stay at the hotel, run by a very friendly Frenchman and his Scottish wife. Good safe place to store our bikes. Had dinner, bed and breakfast and found the food excellent. Would definitely go back.

Stayed here on business overnight, having booked with late rod. Stayed in the double with a separate private bathroom, single occupancy was £60, which I felt a little pricey. Room was adequate, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was spot on! Not a lot to choose from in the area in this price region.

We had a very good experience and pleasant stay in the Family run Hotel in Banff. It is situated on the main road, plenty of off street parking. The room "Salmon" room was large, clean and very comfortable will a lovely view overlooking the bay between Banff and Macduff. We had a lovely evening meal with delicious home made soup.

My company booked me into the county hotel as their a lack of hotels in Fraserburgh so looked on trip adviser seemed to be ok but was worried as on high street but arrived in Banff and found the county hotel easy enough and well happy they got a car park that accommodated my very large van. Was warmly greeted... More

This hotel is like visiting friends. The owners are presenting themselves in such a way that we felt immediately at home. The building is classified. It’s a pity that no improvements are made as this could become one of the best hotels of the area. The rooms have their charms. The rooms at the backside of the hotel have a... More

We had the best meal of our holidays in the restaurant at the County Hotel in Banff. We'd hoped for a special treat and we got it. The food was superb, the service welcoming and very professional. The menu was very, very tempting but I needed to avoid dairy for health reasons. I was delighted when the Chef (Eric) said... More
