Where to begin, stayed in sopranos a lot of times and never had any problems before, that is until they started putting the night porters behind the desk at reception! Am sorry but I was over charged twice now and the rude foreign gentleman checking be me in could hardly speak a word of English and instead resorted to pointing... More

This hotel trys to project a modern, lively image. It succeeds in being more like myself - old, tired & with bits that don't work as well as they used to! Excellent location but that's about the only positive. No lift for those less able. Bar too noisy to drink in - went to bed instead! Every request to turn... More

Very disappointing visit to Sopranos this evening... Tapas for starter - Meat straight of the shelves of Tesco. Pizza main - Most bland pizza I've ever tasted. Had to cover it in Parmesan for flavour. Cheesecake dessert - 100% bought in...defrosted and served. Horrible. All in all a terrible meal. Service was very shoddy too. On a positive note...I've been... More

First impressions were good and an excellent girl on reception. The room was spacious but a bit dated and the taps moved around. No kettle and tea and coffee facilities which is a downfall. The bar and restaurant are nice and meal was excellent but could do with updating the toilets and not leaving cleaning stuff lying about. Overall a... More

Dated and faded. If you have trouble with stairs avoid as there is no lift and going up to the top floor can be a bit of a wheeze. But if you're young / fit and not too fussy it's somewhere to sleep at a low price for Aberdeen, although if you're a light sleeper like me the noise from... More

Be careful when you view this hotel's bookings site, I inadvertently clicked the wrong button (first time ever) which meant I had clicked on a non refundable booking. When I explained the problem and said I needed to cancel because A. it had no lift and I am disabled and B. I had been given notice for an operation which... More

The hotel is located just down from Union Sq with the shopping centre, restaurants, cinema, trains and buses just along the street -and pubs a 5 minute walk away - which was great! Sky husband and I stayed for 2 nights in June 2015 while seeing Elton John at the AECC. The room was a good size with an iron,... More

Sorry but any hotel that charges you for internet access (in this case a tenner!!!), can only be given a poor rating. just silly charging for access. so stop it. Otherwise big rooms, not quiet, good receptionist, towels small and downstairs bar closed at 10:330. Oh and did I say they charge for internet.

I stayed here for work for one night midweek. I found it to be fine but I think certain things would start to grate if I'd stayed any longer. The walls are paper thin so I could hear my neighbour talking on his phone for most of the evening. The windows were not double-glazed and, given the hotel's central location... More

Good location next to train station, staff friendly at reception. No lift but there are only 2.5 floors. We stayed in the management studio. It was a very spacious room with big bathroom but needed renovation, very dated. Breakfast reasonable. We paid £60 for b&b so I would have given 4stars as for the price it was good. However, the...
