Revamp under the name Sopranos (previously Caledonian) is basically the same old hotel building that was spruced up to become Sopranos. Unfortunately its become a bit tired now and the true character is showing thru again. Service standards are also slipping, rooms are not quite clean and covers / towels etc have seen better days. The location is very convenient... More

Worst nights sleep ever, ended up, going for a walk at 5.30AM. Bed was the width of the room so had to climb over it to get to the curtains and it felt like I was sleeping on concrete. bar staff was ok. breakfast staff were pleasant. I will not be returning

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. It was a real pleasure, beautifully decorated, very boutique in style and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and huge, lol. And the restaurant and wine bar down stairs was great quality and a fab atmosphere, nice and relaxing Will be back again soon

When you walk in it seems quite reasonable. Nice wallpaper and carpets adorn the communal areas. Unfortunately the bedroom is a different story. I can I only talk for the room I was in, called management studio. At the top of the hotel with no lift. Large room but noisy from the street below and docks. Big bathroom with two... More

I stayed last night at this hotel. It was booked as a single room but did have a double bed. When i checked in my friend was with me only to be reminded twice that the room is single occupancy.. So my friend left his bag in my room and came back for it later only to be told that... More

Stayed 2 nights, a wow was let out when we entered the room, for what we paid far exceeded expectations. Nice bar, good freshly cooked breakfast. I did not feel like I was in Aberdeen City centre, no offence to all you lovely Aberdonians! I would definitely stay here again.

There were many fine aspects about the hotel but I would particularly like to mention how patient the staff were with me over my booking arrangements- I may have been a challenge. Lots of help with my trip and I felt they genuinely wanted to see that I enjoyed my stay. The over all experience was very positive. Very quiet... More

This is the hotel you want if you want to be central and near the train station. This area has been completely developed since my last visit and is unrecognisable - much better integrated train station and shopping centre than Glasgow - and the hotel is right opposite. The hotel has all you need if you are visiting the city... More

Stayed in September 2014 with a friend, and the hotel was nice, albeit probably more suited to couples than friends! Price and location were excellent (30 secs from the railway station, 2 minutes from the centre of town), but one of the staff members was rather cold and uninterested, especially when asking quite abruptly: "are you staying at this hotel?!"... Excellent location. If you want to be in the city centre and near everything then this is a brilliant hotel. Room was comfortable, quiet with a good view and nice old fashioned window. The best part of the hotel is the restaurant- really fashionable, welcoming and far superior to the majority of hotel bars - it actually has people in... More
