We only spent one night at this hostel. Good position (15 min on foot from the city centre), free car park, free internet connection in the hall, good breakfast considering the price (£ 3,85 pp). Clean room with bunkbeds: the only window couldn't be opened and 3 of the 4 sockets didn't work. We didn't try the showers, but toilets... More

Shared rooms good for students or someone who just want to stay for a short while. Basic hostel with everything you need. Very friendly staff always willing to help. Parking for a couple of cars in the front.

Maybe I'm not as fussy as the other reviewers, but I thought the hostel was fine. A bit older, quite expensive (but, Aberdeen) and the wifi sucked, but fine. The staff were nice (makes a big difference) and the place was comfy. I stayed here for nearly three weeks whilst completing a summer project with the university, because the prices... More

I usually have good experiences at Scottish youth hostels. I'm not looking for 5 star accommodations, just somewhere friendly, inexpensive and clean. This was the most disappointing hostel I have stayed at in Scotland. The front of the hostel isn't particularly inviting as there is a picnic table permanently inhabited by smokers making it impossible for non-smokers to have a... More

Many reviews I read prior to booking were not favorable. However, our experience was pleasant. Price wise, can't beat it for this wildly overpriced city. Forget B&B's.....these are pretty well reserved for oil workers or other such out of town guests who stay for weeks rather than just a day or two.(I was told this by a B&B owner, who... More

I stayed overnight at this hostel for one night because it was the cheapest accommodation in Aberdeen. The hostel is located a least 20-30 minutes walking from rail station and has nothing but office buildings nearby. The room and facilities are standard for a hostel. Iwas there for a night and did not use any facilities, apart from toilet and... More

I visited in October 2014, as l live in Newcastle and wanted to travel to Aberdeen, knew it would be too much to do in a day. It was a fair way out of the city and roundabout the hostel there was literally nothing bar legal practices and offshore industry firms. I also knew the hostel would be cheap and... More

The hostel is quite far from the city center, which can be quite exhausting and you've got to get there from the station wit all your luggage. But you can take a bus, and it is obviously easier. But the fares of buses in Aberdeen is quite expensive I think... The hostel in itself is not extraordinary but, it's a... More

The Youth hostel was good and organised. The entrance is organised with leaflets and spacious and neat and the reception was fine. We got our key cards for our rooms and got explanation how to get to our room. Shower rooms and toilets were clean and there is free soap to wash your hands. The people staying in the week... More
