I have stayed at this hotel many times and always feel as I am part of their family. All the the staff from the manager downwards are always pleasent, courteous and have an excellent knowledge of the area. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the showers are among the best in the business. The beakfast buffet is more than... More

Stayed on a Friday night following a meeting I had to attend. I was travelling with my 2 year old son and was initially worried about having to stay somewhere so central. I had read other reviews about possible noise from Chapel Street so I asked for a back room. We had a very comfortable and quiet stay. Our room... More

Clean and comfortable-free parking if u can nab a spot--good breakfast! Only complaint is Internet is not free beyond an initial 30 minute coupon.

When you book a room at any Holiday Inn Express, you know what to expect from this budget brand - and in that respect this hotel does not disappoint. I travelled mid week, so expected the higher than average cost, typical in oil-rich Aberdeen, which included continental breakfast. As you might expect, the room was on the spartan side, but... More

Dear Fiona605 Many thanks for taking the time to submit your review. It's great to read that the hotel lived-up to your expectations and you found everything to your satisfaction. Our location is indeed one of our greatest strengths but as you mention, this does go hand in hand with the fact that the city centre can, on occasion, be... More

My first time in a Holiday Inn Express through a planned night out on the town! I was late in meeting friends so dropped my bag at the desk for collection later. The room was on the small side but efficiently planned with a pull-out sofa so ideal for a small family. It was a pleasant surprise to find it... More

Many thanks for your review crathiegirl. It's great to read that you enjoyed your first experience of a Holiday Inn Express and that the room was to your liking. Please rest assured that the security on the front door is purely a precautionary measure due to our location (as you so rightly said above). Please accept my condolences on the... More

It's a fairly standard HI Express - neutral, clean and acceptably comfortable. I liked the idea of an 'ironing room' as an alternative for having to ask for an ironing board and iron to be brought to your door - first time I've seen it in this chain. The free continental breakfast is actually OK - but IHG do need... More

Second time staying here - handy for company office etc. In another city I would think of it as expensive for what is offered, however that's the same for all Aberdeen hotels! Staff very helpful and rooms clean. I initially thought the labelled choice of pillows was a gimmick but was happy to find it helpful in promoting a good... More

Thanks for your comments ChrisDunwoody Whilst not entirely sure what the title of your review refers to, it was however good to read that you found the staff friendly and the rooms clean. It is true that Aberdeen hotels can be on the expensive side during the week but the complete opposite is the case at weekends for those able... More

Staff were very helpful, room was clean and comfortable and everything worked. A niggle mentioned by a few reviewers is the breakfast. It was a bit disappointing - I like a cooked one and there were only cheap sausages, OK scrambled egg and beans stewing in a vat. No bacon, tomatoes, black/white pudding nor fried bread. But location is excellent... More

Dear johnnychips Many thanks for your review and I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay. I can appreciate your comments regarding the choice of breakfast items but should point out that, as a Holiday Inn Express, we must adhere to strict brand standards regarding the content and are currently unable to offer anything further. The items that we do offer were... More

I stayed midweek at the Holiday Inn, the free car park is a nice touch, but get in early or it will be full. The room was suitable, the breakfast was adequate and that about sums it up. For the money, I think you can do better
