Hotel is generally OK, however, I had problems with lights (main light and only 1 of bedside light worked), shower (water pressure poor, and water went from warm to HOT, dangerous) and TV (only basic channels were available even though there should be more) Food wise, the breakfast is excellent, as are evening meals. more

We were in Peterhead visiting family. We had two single rooms and really could not find any fault with anything! The rooms were comfortable and clean. They were cleaned thoroughly every day and the complimentary drinks replenished completely. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the decor very chic. We frequented the Brasserie and enjoyed a very nice meal over two... more

A run down, souless concrete block stands as a monument to bad taste. The rooms are spacious but the bath is miniscule and the decor was haphazard and unco-ordinated. The seafood restaurant was unable to provide fresh shellfish in Peterhead (Europes premier fishing port!) Dinner was a disaster washed down with an abysmal house wine. Breakfast was good. I would... more

Management response from
hotelier-aberdeen, Owner

I am quite proud to say that from time to time we can not provide the product we would like to. Fresh fish and shellfish can't just be ordered over the phone all year round. There are many things that affect our supply chain i.e. bad weather, seasonal effects on local grounds. limited days at sea for vessels and quota...

Good Value.

Stayed here overnight after a wedding reception/dance (Oct 05) also held in the same hotel. It's worth remembering that you get a room discount if you are attending a wedding at the hotel. Rooms are a little tired and small but clean and very quiet and functional. Even with 2 live bands in the hotel/lounge you could not hear a... more

My husband and I recently stayed at the Palace hotel. They have recently refurbished the main bar area and brasserie both of which are lovely open rooms with high ceilings. Our bedroom was lovely and also gave us a seating area which we could use for business. Our meal and wine was great and the staff were very helpful and... more
