As a Travelodge regular, I appreciate the limitations to be expected from budget accommodation in the UK. Unfortunately the Travelodge Aberdeen fails to deliver either value or quality. By some distance it was the most expensive Travelodge I’d used – in fact I stayed in the centre of Edinburgh the following evening for less. It does have the advantage of... more

I was looking for a cheap accomodation for 1 night and for my needs it was a good choice. No frills, but the room was clean and equipped with usefull tools for 1 night! It's in the city centre and close so the main attractions of Aberdeen. more

I have stopped in Travelodges before so when I had to stay for 4 nights for work I was quite happy. How wrong!!!! This place is a filthy hovel. The rooms are disgusting - quite obviously the housekeeping standards are non existent to appalling, the walls are filthy, mould in bathroom and dirty ceilings, dirty bathrooms, inadequate bedclothes for two... more

There are some very overpriced hotels around Aberdeen Airport and the two Travelodges are very poorly placed. The central T'lodge is was the cheapest option for an enforced overbnight stay in the city after a flight was cancelled. Arriving at 2.45pm led to a disinterested non-local hotel receptionist asking me, no, telling me, to wait in the closed bar until... more

Spent Easter weekend in hotel. Arrived at 13:00 but check-in was 15:00 but nowhere to leave luggage (new managment team policy apparently) so reluctantly forked out £10 for early check in. A cynical money raising exercise. Room OK but each morning they only left towels for one so we had to go to reception every morning. There was a vaccuum... more

Due to my job choice. I stay in hotels all over the UK. This is the worst hotel that I've ever had the misfortune to stay in. The entrance smells like an uncleaned urinal. The staff were about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. The room was disgusting. The bed sagged in the middle and was well past its... more

If you think all Travelodges are the same think again. Rooms/Entrance lobbys all dirty & tired - even if they gave it a lick of paint it would still be tired. Could have been a great location if they had put something to cut out the noise from the Disco & Bar with Live band on until 3 am. It... more

The location is the best thing about this hotel. It's just a few steps from Aberdeen's main thoroughfare, Union Street. And the bed was comfortable. However, the room was on the 'street' side of the building and therefore quite noisy. The room was clean, more or less, though there were some large stains on the carpet. The general state of... more

Myself , my husband and 15 year old son stayed here last year for 4 nights. I have to say if this was my first stay at a Travel Lodge it would certainly have been my last. But I have stayed at the one in Edinburgh and that one is great. The staff on the desk needed a few lessons... more
