When we arrived back at 1.30 am went to get into bed to find the sheets covered in blood, not much you could do at that time of morning. Went... more

I love this hotel!!! Seen bad reviews and don't understand it. I've stayed here with my family loads of times and we all love it and now my boyfriend loves it too. It's a handy location for shops, train etc, the staff are wonderful, breakfast tasty (especially the mushrooms!!!) and the rooms are comfy, clean, tidy and perfectly furnished. Can't... more

We stayed 2 nights in room 28, which was out the back. Although the room was looking tired, it did look clean, we had a great sleep, and a great... more

The first thing that you notice is the lovely presented old building which is one heck of a bonus for when you get inside. The smell of old cooking fat from the chips in the kitchen grabs you by the throat when you get passed the reception door. The hotel is like a maze getting from one level to the... more

10 day stay at the Highland, Seems to be quite a popular hotel for off shore workers coming and going. I had room 135 and although clean it was a little noisy from passing traffic. Mattress was a little hard and did not really sleep that well. No wireless internet and no sky tv in the rooms, out of 5... more
