Stayed in flat annexed to hotel. Read other bad reviews about this hotel but couldn't,t understand what they were talking about, as i found this hotel to be excellent.Food was superb.Nice comfortable bar,and very helpful and jovial staff.Pressure in shower could have been a bit better but still more than usable.Altogether a very enjoyable stay. more

Once again we stayed at the Highland, staff were very friendly , food was excellant, breakfast was good (we were last down everything was topped up if we had time to wait) not dried up as suggested by previous guests. Will go on staying here again, and again. more

This hotel is a must if you are deaf, have no sense of smell, love being ignored by staff, enjoy cold dry sausage bacon and egg in the morning and like to chuck money at lost causes. I love this hotel!!! Seen bad reviews and don't understand it. I've stayed here with my family loads of times and we all love it and now my boyfriend loves it too. once again we have had a really good stay at the highland hotel. the staff remember us and are friendly and helpfull as usual. we took my daughter,s boyfriend with us and were a little nervous but he loved it too. Its near Union street, cosy, clean and friendly. we will be back at xmas. can't wait. more
