The hotel is well placed for shopping but is in need of a makeover. The 1st and 2nd floor seem to have been made over but the 3rd floor where we stayed was dated. It was clean however. There is no reception. Only a computer at the bar where you check in. Breakfast is served in the bar and is... More

Just returned from a great weekend stay in the Carmelite hotel. The staff were welcoming and very attentive. Our room (207) was small but comfortable and clean. I would highly recommended the Carmelite Hotel and I will definately be staying there frequently over the next four years as my daughter is at University in Aberdeen. Anne Hughes. Satisfied custome. Ayrshire.

I stayed here on a business trip recently and was pleasantly surprised at the really nice spacious rooms and the Bistro style bar and restaurant downstairs. All in all would recommend this hotel the rooms were good and spacious and the food was excellent in the bistro.

I stayed at the Carmelite this year for my sister's wedding and found the rooms to be clean and spacious - we were even upgraded when we checked-in. The Carmelite provided a very professional and organised service during the day. I would highly recommend them if you're looking for a wedding venue in central Aberdeen - the room rates are... More

I recently stayed at the Carmelite Hotel and loved it's quirkieness, the room was very clean and couldn't fault the friendly and accomodating staff. The young guy who checked us in who was a Geordie was extremely polite and helpful, breakfast was really good and relaxed. I would most definately stay here again.

Stayed here for only one night in a room on second floor. It was nice to stay in a hotel that has a real individual feel to it without over the top prices. My room was ideal for my needs, I did miss having a bath (shower only) so if I was staying longer I may have selected a superior... More

Stayed two nights in this hotel. Room (Cabanel suite with round bed) was clean and spacious. After the entrance door, you need to go up the stair which gives you access to the room (left) and bathroom (right). The room is mostly decorated in black which is a little too dark in my opinion The bathroom is well equipped with... More

l stayed with my fiance on the first weekend in November, through a livingsocial deal, for our anniversary. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, got our room details and lots of help getting our bearings in Aberdeen and all the hotel had to offer. The bar was busy but not too crowded with a great atmosphere, live piano music... More

Carmelite is an absolute must if you are looking to impress your friends! Last night, my colleagues and I decided to take avantage of one of Carmelite's many exclusive deals. They offered us 2 courses for 2 people & a bottle of wine for £29. That's £14.50 per person - incredible value for money! What we got for our money... More

We had a girlie afternoon here on the funfair waltzer and we really enjoyed our day! The place was so busy, full of people enjoying tipsy tea parties. The waltzer experience was a good giggle! We got some nice food and the cocktails were flowing! I would recommend this for a nice girly afternoon! The only criticism was they were... More
