I love this guest house. The Butler's are the most hospitable people, and are obviously doing something they love. They are friendly and thoughtful. The house is your typical Aberdeen granite building, and once you're inside it is lovely and clean. Very nicely decorated and again..ever so clean. The breakfast is great..made to order! or..you can just pick cereal, yogourt etc. Very nice and great coffee too. I really enjoyed chatting with Sheena, the owner..she is... More

I was in Aberdeen for four nigths for a conference. This place is close to the city centre. It took me minutes to reach the bus stop to get a bus to the airport on my way back. Many restaurants not very far from here. The place itself was great (may be I liked it even more becasue I was coming from an okay-ish London hostel and anything would feel great!). Clean linen, towels, amenities,... More

I've stayed here a couple of times on business, after getting a bit bored with the more expensive chain hotels that are proliferating in Aberdeen - and have been very happy with it. It's a small (six rooms if I remember correctly) place on a quiet street about five minutes' walk from Aberdeen station and the main shopping areas. All the rooms except two are ensuite (the management offer the ones that aren't ensuite when... More

We stayed there for one night and had quite a pleasant stay. Do not expect too much from it, but its a decent place. The room was just enough for the two of us and the bathroom was pretty good. We were late 15 minutes checking out and had to be reminded to vacate the room. More

This is a very nice B&B near the heart of Aberdeen. Parking is a little troublesome as a result - there is on-street parking around the B&B although you have to pay & display after 6pm and before 8am. The room itself was very clean and as one would expect really. It is worth noting though that the room we had, an ensuite double, has the shower separate to the toilet and sink, so if... More

I stayed at this great guesthouse for five nights in April. The owners were so helpful with everything, breakfasts were lovely (the fresch fruit and berries, yum!), rooms well-equipped with a bathrobe, tea-kettle and biscuits, and everything so nice and tidy. And so handy to have internet access in the house! It's very central as well, close to Union Street and e.g. Cinnamon, one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. I would... More

I'm writing this review from Butler's, thanks to the fact they offer internet access (even a guest computer if you don't have your laptop.) This place is a real find, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Aberdeen. Situated right in the heart of the city, just blocks from Union Street and all it's attractions, it is within walking distance of all the major sights. One of the cleanest guest-houses I've every stayed at,... More

I recommend the Butler's Islander for anyone seeking comfortable, clean and affordable lodging in Aberdeen. This is a lovely Georgian townhouse in a central location. My fiance and I were welcomed immediately and the owner was very very helpful, patiently working with us to plan our daytrip via train and foot to nearby Dunnottar Castle (a must see!) and Stonehaven. A fantastic Scottish breakfast, too! More
