Only spent one night at the Craighaar, and it was also my first visit. I normally stay in Central Aberdeen as it has lots more to offer than Bankhead/Dyce ie. nothing. The reception, though small was fine and my room, although quite small, was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was very good. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to turn the heating down,... More

Would just like to thank George and his staff for making our stay on Saturday 4th February another memorable one. We have been here on quite a few occasions including our wedding two years ago, so we decided to go there for my husband Dave's birthday. Met by George, he lead us through to the bar to have a drink... More

Stayed for one night in December 2011. A pleasant and friendly welcome from the guy on reception and with the formalities taken care of very quickly I went upstairs to my room. There didn't seem to be a lift. I am no fan of Aberdeen and Dyce hotels. They are invariably staffed by rude people and are over-priced. The food... More

Stayed in a standard room which was quite nice and well decorated. Looked very recently refurbished. Smallish room but OK. Breakfast was better than average with a fresh cooked breakfast. Locatipn - I guess you would only stay here in Dyce if you had reason to. It's not handy for Aberdeen. My ratings are for this price point as its... More

The hotel is obviously an old building with very poor soundproofing. Every single flight is clearly heard through the single glazed windows. The rooms themselves have been refurbished nicely. The showers don't seem to have anti-scald devices as there is the occasional three second blast of either freezing or boiling hot water every couple of minutes. Cleanlyness could be improved... More

Stayed for a week as part of business visit. Not well situated for tourists traffic bad in this area during rush hours. Breakfast is ok but cheap ingredients and poorly cooked bacon which looks boiled rather than grilled. Weekend breakfast terrible experience -I sat beside buffet table.. 30 minutes before any staff appeared then told to move 4m to tables... More

Stayed here for one night on way to wedding in Aboyne. Single, female traveller. Check-in was 14.00, but I arrived at 8.30am and was allowed to my room immediately. Room well decorated, spotless and although perhaps a little on the small size if 2 people to inhabit it, have been in smaller hotels in other places. I had dinner in... More

A sleepless night.... really, the most important thing that a hotel should provide is sleep! This seems to have been overlooked somewhat. I'm in one of the "luxury suite rooms". I write this review while still in bed in the hotel. I hate to think what the standard rooms are like! Considering it's location, right next to Aberdeen Dyce airport,... More

Unfortunately, on the night of this stay, a police helicopter was flying over the hotel and surrounding areas for most of the night as part of a missing person search - this is, sadly, well beyond our control. In addition, the night porter did report a problem with his pager the following morning which is linked to the hotel switchboard... More

Stayed one night while on business in Aberdeen, previously I had stayed at the airport Travelodge so obviously this hotel was a significant improvement on that. The room was nicely decorated, very modern and stylish, but was quite small so not a lot of room the move about with the double bed fitted. The room was half-way underground, with a... More
