It has always amazed me the poor quality of Aberdeen hotels and the high rates which they charge for what is very basic and poor quality accomodation. I had wondered if the 'new' Hilton in Aberdeen would be of a better quality than the Treetops Hotel. I was not dissapointed in that it was better but not by much! Once... more

Good comfortable basic hotel, made to feel welcome, dont like the cookie as allergic to nuts should have been made aware could have tragic consequences. They actually had Rowies an Aberdonian morning roll which was great. more

Decided to stay at Doubletree by Hilton for 3 nights. It is situated 5 mins from the sea, and 5 minutes walk from a huge entertainment complex, Bingo, Asda's, lots of eating places and about 15 mins walk from city centre with bars, shops etc so the location was fabulous. Arrived at hotel, lots of car parking space - and... more

I always love staying at DoubleTree by Hilton. Pretty much the same as when i stayed in the Times Square hotel in New York. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The complementary cookie at check-in is always a nice welcome to the hotel. I have stayed in both the platinum club and in a classic room, both were... more

Checked in for one night to attend a conference the following day. The bedroom (115) was designated a Smoking Room and smelled badly of smoke. I requested a change but was told there were no non smoking rooms available. Apparently I should have requested this when I booked. I hadn't actually realised that smoking rooms still existed in Scottish hotels.... more

I arrived mid-evening to be told my booking (which had been in place for well over a month) had been shunted from being a non-smoking room to a smoking room. I was really unimpressed with this, not least because a colleague of mine who had booked later than I had was given a non-smoking room. But to add insult to... more

Used to be called “The Patio”. Stayed there a couple of years ago and it was OK then. Stayed recently for a three day business visit, which was thankfully over after two days, as I was ready to check out. As there is a smoking ban in the UK didn’t expect to find myself in a “smoking room”, and was... more

I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton - formerely known as the Patio Hotel - at the end of March, for a friend's wedding. Being very close to the centre of Aberdeen (approximately fifteen minutes' walk), and with the Hilton name backing it up, we were very much looking forward to a comfortable four-day break. We booked it primarily on... more

This hotel is now called the Doubletree by Hilton. Got a great rate with the hotel direct including breakfast. We had an early morning flight so the hotel allowed us to check in at noon rather than 2pm which was very much appreciated. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom had set of toiletries (nice touch). Beds very comfortable which was... more
