Really helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. There is a great choice of food in the restaurant, service was first class and the view out over the sea just beautiful. It's in a quiet location but still only minutes away from the main connecting roads into Aberdeen. Wi-Fi is free but speeds are better... More

We arrived late evening. The charming young man on reception took my bag and carried it up the stairs and through the maze of doors to our room. The room was spotlessly clean and warm and very comfortable. The hospitality tray was lovely complete with shortbread biscuits but the stretch for the kettle cord to the plug was a bit... More

Yes I asked for an extra pillow and towel but the staff were happy to oblige so I saw no problem. Very spacious room (cabin 6) with more than adequate size telly. Good selection of dishes on the menu for evening meals. The hotel has free car parking and wifi. All in all the staff were nice a friendly and... More

Dated rooms but clean. Old bed which was falling to pieces but had a comfortable mattress. Only had one hand towel and one bath towel between 2 people. Stayed midweek and it was very quiet and had excellent nights sleep and excellent breakfast. Would stay again for sure.

Rooms are clean but old and tired. Room was freezing only found the electric heater when i was leaving. My main gripe was the shower...that bloody shower ive had stronger sneezes took me ages to get washed. Food was nice and enough big enough portions. Staff are friendly.

Not a great hotel. First impression was that the entrance area smells of stale smoke. An old building which has been given a few lick of paint & superficial touch ups around. Nice bar staff made up for the rather run down sparse bar area. We were there for 3 night & it was very noisy with doors slamming until... More

This is really rooms above a pub rather than a hotel I think. Our room was small cramped and a bit musty smelling. It did the job for somewhere to put your head down for the night but was glad not to be staying longer. We didn't eat at the bar in the evening but breakfast was ok.

My personal opinion is that this hotel is in need of a complete refurb of it's rooms, they are horrible from the dark furniture to the tacky pictures on the wall. The seats were stained, the carpet was stained and the bathroom was tiny. We had to ask for towels, glasses and extra pillows, all basics! The sheets on the... More

Went for a walk on Sunday afternoon with the dog and fancied a pint afterwards so went into the public bar. "Sorry, no animals allowed" I was told. "Company policy". I could see the point if I had been in the restaurant, but the public bar ? So not a dog friendly pub.

Nice little B&B over looking the North Sea. Room was comfortable and the bathroom very clean. Breakfast was very nice too. Didn't have chance to sample the in house restaurant due to it being very busy, so had to eat out. If you're looking to stay in the area for 1 or 2 nights, I would recommend this hotel.
