First time I have stopped here for a number of years and I was not disappointed. Although I had a room in the annexe, it was very clean and well laid out. It could be an issue if it was teaming down with rain. The hotel gets full very quickly and hence is best to book in plenty of time.... More

I have been working in Aberdeen for a few months and I have been using the Mariner as my local. The staff & service is second to none it has certainly made my stay in Aberdeen enjoyable I have been made to feel welcome and part of the community by all staff and met some very nice local people and... 5 minutes walk from the heart of the city, the hotel represents very good value in an expensive city. Clean and tidy, it's an old building so the floors can creak a bit, and from a business perspective there won't be enough plug sockets in the rooms, but with great food, great beer and comfortable beds, it was a very... this is starting to turn into an informal local for us. We tend to eat in the pub part of the hotel which has a cosy family feel - often busy with locals for Sunday lunch / dinner. Food comprises the usual stables e.g burgers etc. but the specials have some really nice dishes which vary e.g venison, good fish... More

Stayed here for one night only, but would certainly consider staying here again. The nautical theme is most interesting and the hotel is rather quaint but dated. We didn't eat in the Atlantis Restaurant as we were too early for dinner and so decided to take a walk, en-route we were led astray and ate elsewhere. We did have breakfast,... More

Hotel Review - Nice rooms, poor shower in the last room I stayed in however generally not bad place. My main gripe with this place is the service provided, due to this being an Aberdeen hotel it is no surprise that the rooms are over £100 when if this was any other city outside of London it would be a... I really feel your issues are with your company – who obviously don’t value your not-inconsiderable talents enough to arrange for you to stay in either a 4 or 5 star property with 24 hour kitchen service, or in a large chain hotel near the heliport, which routinely serve breakfast from 5am. Might I respectfully proffer that they choose to... More

At only 15 minutes walking distance of Union Street (with good bus connections too) this quant little hotel is nicely located on a quiet street. I stayed 2 nights for business in a superior room, which is definitely worth the extra 10 pound (bigger room, bigger tv etc.). Although the furniture is quite past its prime the room has a... More

My wife and I recently attended a family gathering in this hotel and the care and attention offered to our family during a difficult time was superb. They attended the needs of people with dietary issues in a tremendous manner, they dealt with more people than originally planned for with no fuss and as a credit to the owner no extra... More
