My sister got married on Saturday and the weather was horrendous. We had originally planned to get wedding photos taken at the reception venue in Donegal but our photographer recommended Tattykeel house. The owners had accepted us on such short notice and made us feel very welcome. They went above and beyond are expectations (even sewing the grooms trousers that... More

The Tattykeel House is the best B&B in which my husband and I have ever stayed. And we have stayed in lots of them around the world. The house and the grounds are gorgeous. Proprietors Kathleen and Hugh Ward have put lots of thoughtful energy into making their home beautiful and welcoming. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw... More

A local historian recommended the Tattykeel because its proprietor Hugh is also a historian. Hugh did not let us down. We had wonderful conversations about the history of Ulster and Northern Ireland. HIs wife Kathleen kept us well supplied with shortbreads and other little pastries to have with our tea during those conversations. All home baked. Such hospitality! The gardens... More

We were only able to stay one night at the Tattykeel House and wished we could have stayed longer. Hugh and Kathleen Ward were so warm and welcoming. The property couldn't be prettier, the gardens are gorgeous! The rooms are beautiful and very clean. Kathleen sent us on our way with delicious homemade shortbread. We highly recommend the Tattykeel House!

Having read the other reviews, it was clear that this was going to be a high standard B & B and I have to say, just having returned, it was one of the best we stayed in. I can only add to the other highly positive comments on here. The owners were very kind and helpful, breakfast was great and... More

This stay was the perfect start for a wedding trip in Ireland. The hosts were fab as where the homemade cakes and other sweet delights.Artisticly enhanced with all Kathleen's beautifull art work and spotlessly clean and comfortable. The garden's and the delicious weather sealed the very reasonable deal .... and its fair to say we were reluctant to end our... More

My daughter & i stopped for 1 night as we were touring all over Ireland. With Kath & Hugh we felt like family as soon as we arrived with hot beverages served in fine china & Irish cakes & biscuits, which were scrummy. The room was spotless, warm & inviting, as was their home & facilities. They recommended places to visit during... More

Kathleen and Hugh must be the most welcoming hosts on the planet. This is not your average B and B. A cheery welcome, tea and homemade delights on arrival not to mention the coffee and treats when we came home at night. The house is absolutely spotless, rooms fresh and comfortable. Very friendly hosts. This place cannot be beaten on... More

My elderly Mother and I stayed at Tattykeel house for four nights in April/May and were overwhelmed by the genuine Irish welcome we received upon arrival. Kathleen and Hugh couldn't make better hosts! Each time we returned from a day's sightseeing there was a pot of tea and fresh home-made scones with jam waiting to be devoured! Delicious! ....... as... More

Hugh and Kathleen were at the door on arrival, tea and homemade mince pies. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble, considering it was New Year's Eve and going to a wedding and no idea how to get there, Hugh got maps out, made everything so easy. Next day going to the south, even helping with... More
