Since we arrived at the Hostel really late, we decided to stay there, otherwise we would choosen an other one very fast. The Hostel is run by Volunteers, which is not working out in this place obviously. First we were given a room that was a complete mess. All the beds were dirty and it was smelling of cigarettes. So... More

Firstly the kitchen was rather messy with dishes everywhere. The whole house was rather cold with staff lying in blankets. The room was okk, nothing special but the ensuite bathroom was really small. It didn't look as if it had been cleaned prior to me going in as there was body hair round the toilet seat and in the bowl... More

We booked this "brand new" hostel with parking. We got here and there was an old hostel with what felt like very unsafe street parking. We got put in a house up the road that was brand new in 1908 with mould patches bigger than dinner plates in the bath room and stains on the walls and carpet. We didn't... More

Visiting in mid-December, the hostel was not full at all. I stayed in a four-person room with an en-suite, though only one other person and I were filling the space. The few staff members I met were very welcoming and friendly. The towel-for-hire was free and the space was quaint and homey. Wi-fi was available in my room upstairs, in... More

A lovely place. Has an adorable cat. Short walk from both the city center and Bogside. £13 per night for a 4 person room-- sheets, blankets, pillow, chair, sink and mirror provided. Tour of the city, £4. Free breakfast and wifi. Bathrooms located in the hall. Toilets separate from showers. Common room is large and spacious. TV, fireplace, large bookshelf,... More

the location is not bad but the room where I stayed was just completely dirty. The floor needed vaccuming and the sheets looked like they have not been replaced for days. Definitely would not recommend it, the only upside to my stay here were the French and Spanish girls who kept the kitchen door open for me for breakfast the... More

This place is really warm and friendly. There is a room at the ground flore with a big table where you can share your meal. Bathroom could be better but for one night it was good. Not that far from the downtown : 10 minutes by walking. Spent there a real nice stay. Enjoy Derry guys,

Paddy's in Derry is by far the best hostel I have stayed at on my trip. The common room is reason enough to stay, especially if you are willing to have a conversation or two with the awesome staff. Perhaps some things are small (as other reviews mention) but that's because it is not a soul-less mega-hostel built hipster-special for... More

the hostel has a nice common room but the 6 bed dorms were a very tight squeeze. normally i would have looked for somewhere else when I saw the over crowded dorm room, but the price was of 12 pounds per night was much more agreeable than getting ripped off for twice as much in hostel connect the night before. The... More

Stayed in this hostel over the weekend. We were placed in one of their secondary properties a few yards up the road from the main hostel. It was nothing short of grotty! The sheets did not look clean, and I suspect a bedbug infestation as I now have three insect bites - inflicted at some point overnight lastnight. The bathroom... More
