We loved Derry and we especially loved the Abbey Bed & Breakfast. The owners, Seamus and Helen Kennedy, and the assistant, Paula Dillon, could not have been more friendly, funny, and helpful in settling us in and pointing out where to go. They visited with us like we were old friends, and by the time we left, we indeed were.... more

I spent 4 nights at the Abbey and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Derry. Paula, Seamus and Helen are so friendly and helpful - it is truly their hospitality that makes the Abbey a wonderful place to stay. The location is great (about a 5 minute walk to the city center), breakfast is good and the rooms... more

Stayed for a short break to explore the city. The B&B was excellent, Seamus and Pauline were very friendly and they made our stay so enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious. The hospitality in the abbey b&b in my opinion, was better than any hotel. All sight seeing is close by, just a few minutes walk into the shopping centres. We... more

Myself and my wife stayed at Abbey bed and breakfast for 2 nights. The location was ideal for exploring the city. Seamus was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very clean and well appointed. The communal area was perfect, with an interesting selection of books about the history of Derry. The breakfast was great. We would definately stay here... more

As someone based in Belfast who works in Derry, I've tried a number of B&Bs in the area in the past but now I also stay here. For location, atmosphere, size and condition of the rooms and the great breakfast it beats other B&Bs in Derry hands down. Pluses include access to a free internet workstation for the use of... more

Great little B&B with welcoming, friendly staff. Ideally located within five minutes walk to the historic Derry Walls, the Bogside Musuem and historical walking tours. Derry's famous live musical pubs all within five minutes walk. A great base for your tour of Derry and travelling into nearby Donegal more

Came to Abbey B&B for just a night, booked in advance sight unseen and couldn't have been happier upon arriving at Abbey. We arrived quite late in the evening, Seamus was very helpful and friendly and set out biscuits and tea for us., the room was also lovely; nice comfy bed, clean, had a hair dryer and a TV with... more

After doing my typical research I chose the Abbey as our B&B for Derry. It was the perfect choice! Seamus, Helen and Paula were all so helpful. We got lost on our way through Derry but after an iphone call and the worst description possible of where we were Seamus drove over to find us. We were so close and... more
