After reading the negative reviews I was very apprehensive about coming here. Thankfully the Travelodge surpassed all my expectations. Good location and friendly staff, keen to help young families. we were given a family room at the back which was nice and quiet. Rooms at the front are noisy due to the pubs and clubs. please be warned that there... more

Hi There, Thank you for your time to write your positive review about our hotel -they are always welcome! I can only apologise for annoyance caused by Hens and stag parties, they do book hotel rooms separately and therefore it is very hard to stop it. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Kind Regards Rima

Was staying here for a hen party. Was very cheap accomodation and very central no need for taxis. In close proximatety to bars and shops, so no need to remain in hotel. Was using this as a base so suited us. Although as the price indicates it is very basic and absolutely no frills. We came expected little so werent... more

This Travelodge has a great location on Strand Road in the city center. The rate we paid was also quite reasonable. But the hotel lacks charm and is showing its age. It's sorely in need of renovation. The first thing we noticed in our room was the missing TV. The cable was hanging out of the wall, as if someone... more

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to write your review. We can never improve unless we get feedback from our guests. Yes, Travelodge Derry would be one of our oldest buildings within Travelodge Ireland. We have recently renovated the whole building – we got new beds, curtains, carpets, light fittings & all rooms have been plastered & painted. As...

Hotel staff were very friendly and polite, though when we got to our room and I opened the bathroom door, the overwhelm stench of VERY stale urine hit me!! I just could not ignore it. Fortunately we were given another room, but this was overlooking the main street where we had the Friday night noise of drunk people queueing outside... more

As the price of a hotel in belfast was dear i tried the travelodge in Derry - this was for an overnight stay. previous reviews had suggested that this wasn't the best place to stay. I arrived and checked in without little fuss. The room, situated at towards the rear of the building took some finding - better signage may... more

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in the last 15 years. Athough I didn't expect much from a travelodge I did expect a clean room and hot water, Sadly neither were provided. After refusing the first room due to the pungent smell of smoke and the unclean carpet we were provided with a second room. Although this smelt... more

We booked this hotel from Leeds, the pictures on the web made it look clean and modern, in reality it was far from that. The hotel rooms were old and tired in appearance with a number of outstanding maintenance issues. Between myself and a colleague we had two rooms booked, one was not fit to stay in due to the... more

The hotel looked nicer than other travelodges i have stayed in from the entrance and the reception area....... But once got out of lift it was DISGUSTING!!! The corridors smellled of urine and vomit and there was a constant smell of smoke in the corridors. The room was disgraceful there were sectarian slogans etched into the wall, which was our... more

I stayed in a family room at the Derry Travelodge for two nights, a Friday and a Saturday. Parking the car was a bit of a pain as the website recommends you use the Quayside carpark which adjoins the hotel, and advises you that there is a special rate for travelodge customers parking on the third floor. However when you... more
