Stayed here 2 nights - a Friday and a Saturday - and both nights the lobby was jam-packed with partyers - many of them not staying at the hotel, but here for an event, as far as we could tell. Further to your recent stay at the City Hotel i was disappointed to read your review regarding car parking. As we have limited free parking at the hotel we do advise customers at the time of booking that they may be required to use alternative parking beside the hotel, where a discounted rate if offered. had a wedding in derry . when we arrived our room was not ready for us luckily a friend had a room from the night before so we could get ready in . we also had to pay 20pound parking as we were told their car park was full [we found out later it was'nt] not a great start .... more
Further to your recent review of the City Hotel, our check in times at the hotel are 2pm and due to most weekends being extremely busy we are unable to guarantee any earlier check in times. We also have limited car parking at the hotel and do inform guests of this when booking although there is large secure car park...
Rooms were roomy and bright. Has pool and gym and has a central location. Definitely a great place to stay. Breakfast is tasty and we had dinner in the hotel which was also nice, although a limited menu. We were on a super valu package and the meal came with the package so that explained the limited menu. Had a lovely stay at this hotel, the reception staff were so friendly . Food was excellent and location couldnt have been any more conveinent, as it was me and my hubby's wedding anniversary we upgraded to the presidential suite for an extra £100.00, which I thought was a bargain, suite has been recently refurbed apparently was lovely, cant wait... more

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occassions and contrary to other reports on this site, found it a marvellous, friendly and top hotel. Stayed at this hotel a number of times, I can't help but going back. I have recommended this hotel to everyone I know and have now had my other half,family and friends staying with me each time. The worst hotel i have ever stayed in and i have stayed in a lot of hotels!. This hotel has no redeeeming features at all. Terrible rooms, Terrible food, Terrible staff, all round terrible time.This area has far beter places to stay, the local bus shelter for one!. Just dont!. more
Weekend break with partner and friends and was delighted with the hotel. A 4 course meal was included in are package although, the menu didn't have a great selection what we had was very good.
