Peter was very welcoming and friendly. He showed us a map full of restaurants and places to visit, including running discounts in town. Breakfast was held downstairs at two large community tables which allowed for great conversation with other travelers. The breakfast was buffet style with eggs, rashers, sausages, tomatoes & mushrooms along with a standard sideboard of yogurt, fruit,... More

Peter and Joan due a wonderful job of keeping the location pleasant and the breakfasts really great. We had an upstairs room that was spotless and comfortable. We stayed two nights and found it quite enjoyable.

Stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend at Merchant's House - the sister of Saddler's House. We had one of the downstairs rooms - it was great. Breakfast was very flexible - we were an hour late and it was no bother. We stayed for 3 nights and have stayed in both Saddlers and the Merchant's House's on about 8-9 occasions... More

We stayed in the Saddlers house, in a street level unit. The room was clean, but quite small. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was quite tiny. Shower was a hot water on demand type and did not work well. We did not shower as the wter was alternately scalding or freezing. Parking was a bit of an issue, as we had... More

I had the pleasure of spending a night in this lovely bed and breakfast in Derry to atttend my aunt's funeral. I had the best night's sleep ever. The room I had ( no. 3 ) was so cosy and warm with an excellent en-suite bathroom. There was excellent wifi reception and this was very important for me. Peter and... More

I have been meaning to do a review of this lovely B&B since I stayed in it in September, but only getting round to it now. I have read some of the other reviews and it is interesting reading other people's opinions. Now obviously if you are used to 5* hotels, you will find this very different, but if you... More

In October 2014 I spent four nights at this lovely and old-fashioned home away from home. My room was comfortable and quiet. The casual and friendly ambience in the breakfast room makes it easy to meet people if you wish to do so. Good location, 5-10 minute walk to key points and is located close to the walls. If you... A truly beautiful old building - Jacobean. The owners have very much kept teh character of the place. Peter and Joan are terrific folk, and like all the people we met in Northern ireland, very friendly and accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb with a collection of home made options from fruit salad, an excellent apple compot,... More

Terrific location in Derry, within walking distance of everything. Parking on a side street wasn't a problem later in the day. But there is also a parking garage downtown. We took the large family room dowstairs which was a bit more, but was lovely and quite roomy. The full complimentary irish breakfast was a nice bonus. Downsides are minimal but... More

Only stayed for 1 night but I would have no hesitation booking again if visiting the city. Situated not far from the guild Hall and easy to find. Joan greeted my son and myself and got us settled into our twin room, which was very comfortable. The ensuite was small but more than met our needs, it was great to... More
