We stayed here on Wednesday night 11 September 13 and Isobel (the owner) couldn't do enough for us. Decor throughout was exceptional and extremely tasteful. It was truly a home from home experience. When we asked Isobel for the name of a taxi to take us to a restaurant, she arranged for a reliable local firm who arrived on time... More

This B&B was recommended to us by a friend who lives nearby, and we did not regret staying in it for a second! A very cosy and welcoming house, every room is of unique interior, and inside you get all you need - 10 types of tea and coffee, nice towels, bottles of water, sweets, slippers, all the toiletries, a... We were in Derry for about 5 days at a sporting competition. We wanted a home like feeling and after reading the reviews for Nightingale House went ahead and booked our room. We were not disappointed and it's no wonder the charming, wonderful and amazing Isobelle has such great reviews. It really was a home away from home. The rooms... More

I stay at B&Bs regularly for sporting fixtures. While I prefer hotels, often B&Bs are closer to our events and therefore are more suitable. First impressions last. We called the B&B owner to get directions, which she was completely incapable of giving. When we finally got to the B&B we were greeted with a tirade of abuse about not being... More

Isabelle, wow! Booked a long weekend to Ireland for me and my other half. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, first time in Derry so didn't know what to expect but was so happy overall. The house is decorated so lovely, nice art pictures, the bedrooms are so warm and cosy it just feels like home from home. Right from the... More

We stayed over with good friends during the All Irelamd Pipe Band Championships. Isabelle was a fantastic host and full of chat which we loved. The decor is fantastic in the house and is very very clean which I loved. As soon as I went into the bathroom I could smell the bleach which was good. With regards to breakfast-... More

Another friendly Irish stopover. The main problem here is the distance from the centre of Derry City so it does restrict your ability to fully enjoy the nightlife if you have to drive. We were however made very welcome in a very unique b&b with an equally unique landlady, clean comfortable and a very entertaining stay

i had a wonderful time, what a lovely place to stay! The room was lovely, spotlessly clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable i have ever slept in. Food was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Isobel is a wonderful, warm host and her parrot is certainly entertaining. I was sad to leave after 4 nights... More

Lovely house, and very friendly host, though she does swear quite a lot (not as much as her parrot though!). Very comfy room and nicely decorated. Have never seen so much choice at breakfast. Wold have given 5 stars had there been hot water for a shower in the morning, but alas we both had to make do with a... More
