Just stayed our first of two nights at Briers. What a charming place. Our room is immaculate and has a stunning view of the mountains. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. The hospitality is wonderful. We've been in Ireland for 4 nights so far and last night was the best night of sleep we've had. We are looking forward to another... More

Warmly received on arrival. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and a great night's sleep. Suzan makes you feel right at home from the first minute until you leave. Lovely breakfast in the airy but cosy dining room. Would recommend The Briers to anyone. Right on the doorstep of the beautiful Tollymore Forest too.

Thank you so much Suzan for a really lovely stay - all our needs were perfectly met last weekend. A beautifully appointed warm and spacious room with an idyllic view of the Mournes to wake up to, ensuite bathroom was perfect - equipped with all we needed, hot water bottles in bed as an extra detail - amazing after a... we stayed with the briars with our small children for a couple of nights and found everything wonderful. The hospitality and food were particularly good. Excellent home cooked food and toys for the children to play with. Thank you.

Thank you Suzan and Bryan (not John) for your wonderful hospitality. Rooms are clean and homely and Suzan and Bryan are great hosts. We stayed at the Briers for the second time this year and LOVE it - Suzan makes us so welcome. Our bedroom was spacious and very comfortable, and Suzan took time to send up toys for the children. You can make tea or coffee in the cosy living room downstairs, and breakfast is amazing - the children have their own... More

My partner and I chose Brier's for the first couple of nights of a month long visit to Ireland. The best decision we could of made. We were made to feel welcome and given every consideration. When they heard we planned to picnic as much as possible went so far as to give us plates and utensils. Also, got great... More

Every time I come home from America I go to The Briers and that is at least twice a year.I must admit I would usually stay in hotels, but a friend recommend this establishment. I fell in love. The one on one attention you get is amazing. It brings me back to my childhood to get my hot water bottle... More

First of all don't walk to the town from the Country House. £3 taxi or half an Hour walk. Choose the first option. On arrival greeted by a very polite young man. Who helped us in whatever we needed. Rooms very clean and tidy as well as the whole of the house. A very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. 2 Minute... More
