We stayed overnight for a family wedding. The reception rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The bedroom was small and overlooked the roof of part of the building. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped and we weren't going to be in it much anyway!! However at £140 ( less a very miserable £5 discount as we were wedding guests)... More

Booked in for their two night delight package. 2 nights, B&B with one nights dinner. Very good value. Room was very comfortable, clean and peaceful. Probably the best affordable hotel in the area. Food was great, especially the super salad...most random ingredients, but tasted amazing!! Sadly pool etc was closed for refurbishment, which was a shame as I did pick... More

My sisters and I needed some well deserved time out of our work/home schedules and we choose the Burrendale Hotel. Our package included a family room bed & breakfast, 3 course evening meal and 90 minute spa treatment. Our room was modern, fresh, beautifully decorated, spacious and was overlooking the stunning Mourne Mountains. Our meal was delicious.... all 3 courses........ More

My husband and I chose an ambassador executive room at this hotel as I like a balcony. The room was very nice if a tad jazzy, the bathroom was great and had a seperate shower unit as well as a bath, however I was disappointed that there was not a fridge in the room. We were very lucky as the... More

We stayed at this hotel for a short break in April and July and have booked again. On approach to this hotel, it doesn't seem too fancy, but from the moment you enter you are treated well. The receptionists are lovely and the little bar quaint and welcoming, with a huge open fire, perfect for winter. We enjoyed a beautiful... More

Room was comfortable, spacious and clean with great mountain view, menu was extensive and had a wide selection of gluten free options. Breakfast was vast and good quality. Staff very friendly. I would recommend a short stay here. Spa facilities were good- the pool is small but adequate. Large gym with plenty of equipment which you will need to visit... More

The last I visited The Burrendale for a meal my wife and I were very disappointed on what transpired. We both ordered sirloin steak and although the steaks were both excellent as expected from several previous experiences. What came with it was the problem. It included a large mushroom which was filled with an extreme amount of water, this once... More

17 family descended on this well positioned hotel in Newcastle county Down. The food was superb warm, tasty and a great selection for all tastes. The rooms are varied and we had a twin suitable for both parents and the son. The hotel is spotless but what makes it is the staff. They are friendly and could not do enough... More

Spent 3 nights recently in the hotel for work. It's a clean & comfortable hotel, with friendly and attentive staff - rates were very reasonable too midweek for B&B. I stayed in a 'Classic Room', It was a little bit dated in terms of the decor, but still represented good value for money for what I paid. Ate in the... More
