We were attending my cousin's wedding at the Slieve Donard and thought about staying there. The high price per child (£30 additional per child per night) really put us off as we weren't planning to be in the room much and it made our room rate nearly £200. Rates this high are something we balk at in major cities, let... More

Love this wee hotel, a real gem and the staff are brilliant, stay here as often as we can, you just can't beat it. Great breakfast, lovely food, we would always have breakfast in our rooms which is no trouble at all for the staff. It's just a wee home from home.

Stay here as often as we can as it is a home away from home Pat and staff ensure that nothing is too much bother, breakfast is perfect a good fresh home cooked breakfast that sets you up for the day. I hope to return soon Pat, so make sure you let me know what offers are available

We stayed here with friends early October for 1 night. Must say staff were very helpful from coming with me in my car to show me how to get into car park helping us all with our luggage to our rooms. Nothing was too much bother. Had a meal here later in day as other friends arrived to see us.... More

This is a fantastic location for anyone who wants to hike the Mournes. It is a great place to rest up before a day or 2 or 3 of hiking Northern Ireland's highest peaks. There is a market within walking distance and a few nice pubs. The staff are amongst the friendliest folks I met in Ireland. The Donard provided... More

A group of us, booked several rooms to stay at this hotel for concert events being held in Newcastle. Pat and his group of family and staff members, run the Hotel and bar. Very friendly and helpful people. Have stayed here before and would stay again.

Arriving late evening after making a last-minute booking, we were warmly welcomed by Kevin on reception, who showed us to our rooms - an unusual courtesy these days. For the single room rate, we were delighted by our spacious, well-appointed rooms. Mine had a super-king-size bed (very comfortable), made up with crisp white bedlinen, and everything you could want -... More

We stayed overnight as we were attending a wedding in the sleive donard and couldn't get booked in there. The hotel was very dated and main areas very run down. The whole place did smell of chips. Having said that our room. Even though looking over the Main Street was quiet and very clean. Good supply of tea and coffee... More
