The Sliver Donard is quite possibly the best hotel in Northern Ireland, from the staff, room and food to the stunning location it is faultless, I can't wait to visit again! My only tiny complaint was that our meal was carvery style rather than table de hotel, that's the one small thing I can think of that wasn't perfect. The... More

Dont recommend. Overpriced, over rated and poor service. One of our party (an elderly person) became unwell and had to be taken home. Requested a wheelchair to bring person from 3rd floor . Hotel said only had one and it was in use. Room not ready at check in time, told to come back 1 hour, when returned was told... More

Stayed here over the spell of good weather. Staff great, room spacious and clean but no air conditioning. I ended up getting a fan but still slept badly both nights due to this. I did ask to change rooms but hotel fully booked. I will go back but will request air conditioned room.

This fantastic property is not only a sight to behold exteriorly, but amazing and wonderfully staffed and accommodating inside. Having only stayed one night, our room was situated with breathtaking views of a full moon and high tide.

Stayed here three nights with a group of people. Some got nice rooms, others including myself were not so lucky. The first one I was allocated was right up against noisy kitchen fans with an ugly view of the rooftop of the lower floor. The room itself was nicely decorated and spacious but too hot and no fresh air could... More

Stayed here for 3 nights first weekend of June, having secured a "Summer Sensations" deal with Hotels.com. The hotel is centrally located between the start of the promenade in Newcastle, and the High Street. We loved every minute of our stay, from the huge room and bed with separate lobby area and sofa, to the superb breakfast in the two... More

There was a wedding on, on the same night but yet we still had full attention of the staff at reception and through out the night! Are room was big and beautiful and very clean cannot be faulted.... My parents booked this for the whole family to go to while my sisters were visiting from New Zealand and as I was quite busy leading up to it I never actually got to check it out online before I got there. When we arrived I was speechless! The hotel is absolutely magnificent to look at with very well-maintained grounds.... More

Unique location on the seaside, with superb view on the slieve Donard mountain, and on the sea. This large 19th century victorian building has a lot of charm, it has been expanded ( for the spa) and remodeled entirely. The rooms are very confortable , bathroom with shower and tub, sofa ,king size bed.Restaurant is not exceptional but good enough , with a...
