We made a 17 trip last year(June 2013), and Oakleigh House was my favorite place. They were wonderful, every thing about it was wonderful. The rooms, the food, and especially, the proprietor(s). Nearly a year later, we still talk of you and miss you. We will never be able to thank you enough. Love, Kathi, Katie, David, Charlotte, Amy &... More

Very welcoming hosts, the rooms are spotless with a good shower room. A huge selection of hot drinks are available on the corridor, shared by three rooms. The kettle was always topped up, with a jug of fresh milk beside it. Breakfasts freshly cooked with best ingredients. I recommend the poached eggs.

My husband and I spent our first night back in Ireland at Oakleigh House in Newcastle. The beautiful flowers in the garden were in full bloom. We have just come back from spending 3 nights with Jan at the Oakleigh and it was amazing! The rooms are so comfortable and the service was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything more and if we did she would have done it for us.
