I was tired when I arrived, and the first thing I saw was the welcoming tea and coffee counter. A cappuchino later I discovered this wonderful B&B. It was clean, and lovely - the breakfast was fantastic - everything was made to order as we sat there. The bathroom was clean and well equipped We had some lovely chats to... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, and we received a wonderful warm welcome. Very helpful with recommendations on where to eat in the evenings and of places to visit during the day. The accommodation was brilliant and situations within the annex of the house. Brilliantly situated to explore the forest which is close by and also where the game of... More

Stayed as a base for walking in the mourne mountains . 3 double en suite rooms in the houses annexe with a shared conservatory for breakfast and teas and coffees. We were welcomed by 'granny' who had plenty of tips for the evening locally. Great choices for breakfast, about 15 mins walk into Newcastle. Would definitely stay again superb hospitality

We made a 17 trip last year(June 2013), and Oakleigh House was my favorite place. They were wonderful, every thing about it was wonderful. The rooms, the food, and especially, the proprietor(s). Nearly a year later, we still talk of you and miss you. We will never be able to thank you enough. Love, Kathi, Katie, David, Charlotte, Amy &... More

Very welcoming hosts, the rooms are spotless with a good shower room. A huge selection of hot drinks are available on the corridor, shared by three rooms. The kettle was always topped up, with a jug of fresh milk beside it. Breakfasts freshly cooked with best ingredients. I recommend the poached eggs.

My husband and I spent our first night back in Ireland at Oakleigh House in Newcastle. The beautiful flowers in the garden were in full bloom. We received a very warm welcome with offerings of tea or a variety of delicious hot chocolates! The room was very nice with a great bed and shower. The view from the breakfast room... More

Stayed here for a weekend break with my elderly mother. What a warm welcome we got on our arrival. The accommodation was excellent - rooms very comfortable and the food superb.
