Only spent a night here but i'll make sure to return on my next visit. Fantastic house, sank into the mattress, delightful people there, James, Nicola and Edward make you feel right at home. Could not have done enough for myself and my co-worker, felt refreshed after the night there and the breakfast they provided, well, let's just say my... More

A big thank you to James, Nicola and Edward for making us so comfortable in their beautiful and historic home. This lovely family are natural hosts and extremely kind. They go to a lot of trouble to help their guests get the most out of their trip. The history of their family is fascinating and they live in a beautiful... More

You won't like this. you will love it, James, Nicola, Edward and Millie will make you as welcome as you want to be. Recent refurb of this 10 year old business venture keeps this attractive venue as crisp as can be. No aspect of your stay will be overlooked and their local knowledge, gleaned over the last 300 years comes... More

Belated review from our stay in June. This was one of best experiences from our month long trip through the Republic and Northern Ireland. Gracious hosts (from three generations of the family!) with a remarkable family history, and truly memorable breakfasts! The house itself is wonderful and the rooms spacious and spotless. No showers if that is an issue but... More

This house was recommended in Alistar Sawday and our experience was quite similar to his....Our hosts made us feel like old friends from America, by swooping us up into their family, giving us freedom of the house and grounds, and sharing a lovely guest room with us, at the top of the stairs. We left feeling like they might visit... More

A month ago we had planned to stay at this B&B during our time in Downpatrick. We reviewed the reviews and their website, and although the price was higher, it sounded like it would be higher end. We were very disappointed when we arrived and out of a 3 week trip, this was the first one we reserved that we... More

I am so sorry that we disappointed you, with no shower and a smell of paint. This is not how we wish to be known and can only apologise again. Our baths are 7 foot long, so truly huge and a step back in time to the 1920's when such things were truly luxurious in houses like ours, but unfortunately they... More

I've just returned from a few days with Nicola and James, and have to give their lovely establishment top marks. I really did feel, two days into our stay, that we were staying as house guests with old friends. Exactly what's wanted when on holiday.

Nicola and James have a beautiful home and made us feel so welcome (as did Damm and Dash, their two adorable dogs). The bedrooms were furnished with lovely antiques and the beds were extremely comfortable. We were offered tea in the drawing room when we arrived. Nicola cooked a delicious breakfast which included a variety of fresh breads, cereals and... More

A charming country house with comfortable rooms with a superb breakfast Nicola and James both go out of their way to make guests to feel at home. This is more than just somewhere to sleep; it is a place to enjoy a conversation with the hosts. We only stayed one night and wished we had booked for longer. Highly recommended.... More

We had a lovely few days at Nicola and James' unique country house. They are wonderfully friendly hosts who encourage guests to treat the house and grounds as a home from home.
