No flowery language, just a really nice lunch in a really nice courtyard, served by really nice people. Not the easiest place to find and we had missed it on previous visits to the area, but in the end, head for Castlewellan Forrest Park and it is on the right just before you go through the gates. I have no... More

While exploring the area on my motorcycle I was looking for a refreshment stop for coffee and cake. I happened upon Hillyard House as it looked like a classic coffee shop back home in England. It didn't disappoint, lovely coffee, delightful decor, friendly staff as I've come to expect over here. The only thing that prevents me from giving an... More

We arrived here just after 9 on a sunny, Sunday morning and it looked great. Smart decor, items well displayed and the whole place spotlessly clean. I had a good Americano, the others had a late and a pot pf tea. The real thing made with leaves not tea bags. We each had a scone and these were the best... More

We just popped in for a coffee and a scone. With an easy manner the owner chatted to us and made us feel very welcome. Being able to bring the dog in rather than leave him in the car is a very nice option. The staff were friendly. The coffee and the scone were good and set us up nicely... More

Thanks to Dominic and staff for super Christmas breakfast fry for a hungry bunch of cyclists on Sunday morning. Great hospitality and a perfect stop for cyclist with secure bike parking, would recommend to all clubs/groups or individuals.

This is a great place to either have a coffee or food after a good walk around Tollymore. The food is good and they have a great outdoor courtyard where dogs are also welcome which is a nice touch. We were able to meet up with our family who were staying at a lovely local cottage called barneys for lunch... More

We made several visits to the modern cafe at Hillyard House over the summer. Fabulous coffee and cakes and super friendly staff who always made us - and our new puppy - feel very welcome. There's a lovely sunny courtyard to enjoy . The menu includes a variety of lunches, including a children's menu. We are looking forward to going... More

Today was the second time I have had the pleasure to use the facilities at Hillyard House. I was running a workshop using the conference suite, and every last thing I needed was catered for by friendly and co-operative staff. From my initial contact with Dominic, who helped organise the booking and was there on hand to make sure everything... More
