We were just having an overnight pit-stop in the middle of our holiday, but could have stayed longer and seen more of the town. Our rooms were spotless (and large) and the breakfast (down stone steps to the basement!) a classic fry-up to keep us going all day. I would say ask for rooms at the back if Saturday night... More

I enjoyed two very pleasant relaxing nights in the De Averall House, Armagh. Cate, Austin and Ciara were incredibly welcoming. My room (Four) was spacious, spotless and airy. The menu was varied and the chef Darren was kept busy (always a good sign!). Portions were just right and the Monk Fish was excellent. There was plenty to visit on the... More

Stayed one night in August 2014. Cate was so welcoming. you can park at the back of the hotel and Cate guided me in and reversed my car out for me when I left as a tight fit ! Room 2 is welcoming and comfortable . The hotel is perfectly situated for the town- it's on the doorstep ! Breakfast... More

We did a quick one night stay here on way to a wedding in Belfast and our only regret was we were not staying longer! It is an excellently run guesthouse. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There is free limited parking it is tight but Cate will even reverse your car out if required! And hey it is... More

Had a great meal and a few drinks in De Averell house Armagh on Friday past. Went in with a few friends and had a fantastic meal . Afterwards we sat around a very cosy open fire in the bar and had a couple of drinks. Very friendly and homely atmosphere.

I have just stayed at De Averell House over the past weekend (Oct 25 and 26th, 2013). I found the staff very polite, friendly and helpful. I was out and about whilst I stayed seeing family so didn't have a chance to eat there but I definitely would have done if I was staying a bit longer. It was a... More

If you're looking for a place in the center of Armagh City, look no further. We had a delicious dinner here one night and the owners were warm and entertaining. They were great about accommodating my mother's celiac diet, and offered suggestions on where to go in Armagh City and in Belfast, where we were headed the next day.

We needed to find accommodation at short notice in Armagh, and walked in to this hotel off the street. Cate was extremely welcoming, the room was good value and clean, and had all amenities, and the breakfast was brilliant. The hotel is right in the centre of Armagh. I would recommend it to anyone.
