I only stayed only one night here but Cate was attentive and charming and the location couldn't be better with Abbey Way on the doorstep and the main shopping area and bus station a few minutes' walk away. It met all my needs and I'd stay here again when next in historic and pretty Armagh.

Gone through several different ownerships and not always too quick to make sure your needs are met but for the price the accommodations are quite reasonable. A computer is downstairs for public use and the old owner used to let us use it for free but it seems everyone is charging for something nowadays.

We had plans to go to the Georgian day in Armagh yesterday and decided last minute we would like to stay over night as we has booked the light show for 8.00pm. My husband contacted the hotel and we managed to get a room. We arrived early for check in but our room was ready so were shown to our... More

We did visit the Averell house for 3 nights and this was not our 1st stay! - we love the location, the room, the breakfast and the fabulous host of this beautiful B&B. We highly recommend this gem to all our family and friends. We will be back :)

Comfy bed excellent food and Cate an excellent hostess, would recommend it one hundred per cent. Excellent food and love the cellar restaurant, great escape and right in the heart of Armagh close to Market Place and just perfect in every way.

This is the second time I chose the De Averell House. I was there for 8 nights and I couldn´t speak high enough of this place. It was a very friendly and warm "Welcome back" - I even got the same room as last year! And I really felt at home there. The room was commodious and charming, free WLAN... More

We were just having an overnight pit-stop in the middle of our holiday, but could have stayed longer and seen more of the town. Our rooms were spotless (and large) and the breakfast (down stone steps to the basement!) a classic fry-up to keep us going all day. I would say ask for rooms at the back if Saturday night... More

I enjoyed two very pleasant relaxing nights in the De Averall House, Armagh. Cate, Austin and Ciara were incredibly welcoming. My room (Four) was spacious, spotless and airy. The menu was varied and the chef Darren was kept busy (always a good sign!). Portions were just right and the Monk Fish was excellent. There was plenty to visit on the... More

We did a quick one night stay here on way to a wedding in Belfast and our only regret was we were not staying longer! It is an excellently run guesthouse. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There is free limited parking it is tight but Cate will even reverse your car out if required! And hey it is... More
