We were shown great hospitality and made very welcome, the Charlemont Arms Hotel catered for all our needs, from parking, the spacious en suite bedrooms, the menu and daily specials, gorgeous breakfast service we recieved, to accommodating staff.

A group of 18 of us (of all ages) stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and could not find one fault. The location was ideal right in the heart of the city and the staff and management could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Chose to stay on reccommendation especially for the excellent breakfast service! First impressions; meeting and greeting at reception could be improved!; rooms spacious and comfortable let down by standards of hygiene in bathroom! A hearty cooked breakfast greeted me in the morning but was let down by the service! However as I enjoyed a very succulent steak the night before... More

This Hotel has friendly courteous staff and the quirkiness which is unique to family run hotel. In my experience the bar staff remembered my name, the waitress was eager to please. On my 3 day stay I ate in the bistro twice as the food and the service was so relaxed and welcoming to someone who was traveling on there... More

Being Ireland, in early May, room heating was needed. Attempts were made by staff to extend central heating to our room at the end of the passage. They failed (and instead a room on the floor above became overheated!). Experience in the basement Bistro was similar; staff were unable to light the gasfire. In both cases, however, portable heaters were... More

Our three night stay at the Charlemont hotel was a most enjoyable experience. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and quiet. The car parking at the back was so convienient and safe. The dining room staff were so pleasent, helpfull and catered for all additional breakfast requests with a smile and the warm hearted comment of "no Bother". I would say... More

What I liked most was the warm enthusiastic attention given by all staff which you would expect from a family run hotel. It has soul and character unlike many modern hotels which more than makes up for the basic but clean rooms. What works best for me is a comfortable bed, a quiet room, a powerful hot shower, on-site parking... More

WiFi is free ,very responsive, and remembers you. Car park in back is convenient but no ramp for roller suitcases. Elevator is tiny and doesn't reach second floor. Three different dining locations(pub,Turner's Bistro, and a traditional tastefully decorated dining room on the second floor which is also the breakfast room). There's a full table-service breakfast which was delicious. Be sure to... More

I am really reviewing this hotel to recommend it's fine traditional food served at lunchtime. For anyone visiting Armagh you could not get better value than at the Charlemont. It's possible to dine in the restaurant and pay a little extra (and for Sunday lunch I would recommend this); but for an everyday lunch, there is no better place than... More
