This review only relates to the restaurant. Having travelled around the Antrim Coast road we decided, on recommendation, to try the Marine Hotel restaurant for our evening meal, what a mistake. Out of five meals brought to the table only one was recognisable as to had been ordered. None of the staff were interested as to whether the meal was... More

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend, having been to the hotel before, and oh were they busy !! Our rooms had a sea view which was great for people watching outside. The food as always was excellent and Janice on reception is just great . Lots of information and always smiling. We got tickets for the Mike Denver show... More

I stayed at this hotel with my Mother in August 2014. We were very satisfied with the location, staff and the accommodation. This is a very friendly hotel and would recommend it for anyone staying in Ballycastle. Bed were very comfortable. The hotel is located only a short walk from the pubs and restaurants, and it overlooks the Marina.

Stay clear, food is a joke and staff are a bigger joke. This place will never last, I have never been treated soo appallingly in my life, staff look like they don't want to be there and so treat customers disrespectfully, food took 45 minutes to come, with wrong side order and cold. Never be back in the doors.

Simple, but nice room, great breakfast, and a nice view of Ballycastle beach. Incredible value for a seaside hotel. Will definitely stay there again. No hassle Wifi connection too, which is a bit of a rarity.

Having lived in ballycastle all my life I was pleased to see The marine hotel reopen. It created such a buzz about the place! I decided to take my mum, sister and husband out for a meal in the bistro. Upon arrival we stood in front of staff for a few minutes, waiting to be seated. After getting bored waiting,... More

I stayed in the Marine Hotel on Monday 18th August. The price I paid was £90 for B&B. My experience was not a pleasant one. The room was so basic, and did not reflect the high price. I had breakfast, no sorry, tried to eat the stuff that was served up and in biting into a bit of bacon thought... More

After a meal in the Marine a few months ago I went home a little disappointed and err....not feeling well. It seemed that the efforts to re vitalize this old and much loved hotel in Ballycastle[ Irelands most picturesque town by a mile] had failed in my eyes. After a phone call and compliant I was offered a another meal... More

Myself and a friend stayed here for two nights. The location is perfect in front of the beach and within five minute's walk of the ferry if you fancy going to Rathlin Island. The food in the bar area was gorgeous as was the wine. The room was fine, nothing spectacular. For £100 a night, it could've been better. The... More

We called into the Marine Hotel on a Thursday evening for a meal and were directed to the Bistro in the Hotel, the Bistro was busy and we were quickly shown to our table. The waitress left two menses on the table took a drinks order and returned quite quickly with he drinks and having noticed the table cloth was... More
