Cheap and cheerfull! Kate was nice and friendly didn't here any cats at night or smell anything! although the floorboards are so noisey! apart from that everything was good. Would defenatley stay again. If you don't pay hotel prices don't expect a hotel room! more

I stayed in Kate's B&B once with a friend and 'Oh my God' what a dump seriously. The sign on the outside boasts 'a home from home' well if you live in a rubbish tip. The smell of cats and cat urine is disgusting not forgetting to mention the layer of animal hair that can be found on tea cups... more

We were very pleased with our stay at kates, the whole house had a homely feel about it. Kate herself was a very welcomely host . The breakfast was lovely and our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would definately return, It is situated in a perfect position an easy walk to most of the citys... more

Stayed at Kate's B&B for 3 nights in early July 2008. Had a room with a double bed, small rattan sofa, sink, telly and coffee/tea making facilities plus breakfast all for £30 per night. There was no wardrobe in the room, only hooks behind the door, but I did get lots of free biscuits and a big fruit bowl (apples,... more

This B&B is run by Kate and her family, and they are incredibly nice and accommodating, this will suit you if you like a bit of looking after but maybe not if you're fairly shy and like to keep to yourself. For breakfast you're promised a 'heart attack on a plate' and my god is that a good description, it'll... more

This bed & breakfast though conveniently located is a dump. Rooms look OK from the first glance, but they are tiny, dusty and dirty all around corners. As soon as I walked in I started to sneeze uncontrollably, turned out to be an allergy to the mites in the soil of one the indoor plants! Everything around is cluttered with... more

This little bed and breakfast was charming. It is right on University Street, a close walk to Botanic Ave and the Botanical Gardens. I had made my reservation over the phone about a month prior to my visit. When we arrived at around 6 pm, we were told she had given the room we requested away because we had shown... more

First off, we did a tour in Europe over a month of eight places. A lot of them were 3 and 4 star hotels, so obviously this is in a different class. If you are expecting a hotel with regular amenities, you will be disappointed. This is probably on the scale of a 1 star hotel. However, If you choose... more
