First let me say, my fiancé and I stayed here not because we planned it but because our hostel cancelled our reservation without notifying us. Thus when we arrived our hostel booked us a room at this B&B. Kate is a very nice woman, and her husband was always very nice to us as well. Although at one point during... More

Stayed here for a 1 night (luckily only overnight) as part of a Paddywagon tour. The entrance and ground floor looked decent. I was put in a single room on the top floor (attic), and what a shock I had when I went into the room. The floor was dirty and was definitely not cleaned for god knows how many... More

I rang to book a room ad was asked where I was from. On response I explained I am Irish and my boyfriend who is visiting from England has not been to Ireland before. He is originally from Romania. I was then told "theres a centre down the road where they can say" to which I replied, "sorry? I don't... More

Carpets black and worn through to the backing, furniture held together with duct-tape, a bad smell hits you at the front door and bacon burnt precisely not to your liking for breakfast. All in all a very terrible place to stay. I thank my lucky stars it was only an overnight stop.

Myself and my partner along with our two friends stayed at kates at the weekend just past. After being messed about by the guesthouse we had booked originally I was glad to see a friendly face. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable and her breakfast was gorgeous. Id definitely recommend it

Kate is very lovely and helpful person, we really felt ourselves welcome. Breakfast was good and Kate noted my vegetarian friend. We two got a lovely British stylish room for four. There was a shower in a room but toilet was in the corridor. Room was not that clean but still I can warmly recommend this place. Caution, you can... More

The B&B was nice, and Kate and her husband were friendly; the location was good as well. The breakfasts were great. But although it was advertised as nonsmoking, the common areas and our rooms smelled of smoke, which really bothered my daughter and me. As long as that isn't a problem for you, I recommend it based on the other... More

I stayed at this B&B before and was treated with utmost friendliness and hospitality by Kate. I have since recommended the B&B to many people, but never again. I returned on Weds 15 Jan 2014. The gentleman who answered the door, who I presume was Kate's husband, was rude and unfriendly to me from the start, making repeated personal and... More

Stayed at Kate's for a weekend. It is definitely not a contemporary boutique hotel. Its a local Belfast B&B in the university area of town. The decor is quite tired and has a very personal feel to it. But service is very friendly and the price is very reasonable. Kate is very accommodating to any requests. But I did have... More

I am late in posting this as my husband and I stayed with Kate and her husband in early June of this year (2013). We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was at the back of the B&B so quiet at night; the shower was in the room which was convenient; the bathroom... More
