I loved Emerald House. The rooms are large and clean, the area is very safe and the owner (Silke) is attentive, professional and helpful. It's outside the city center, but it's an easy bus ride there, no more than 15 minutes along an interesting route. I would highly recommend this inn as a great value and well worth a stay!

My first few days in Ireland were spent here at the Emerald House B&B. Sega the owner is wonderful and super helpful in terms of information on Belfast and the surroundings. The neighborhood is perfect as it is just a 10 min ride from centre and quiet. Cave Hill Park and Belfast Castle are walking distance from the B&B if... More

Due to bad luck, we had to stay another night in Belfast. Thankfully we found the Emerald house. I had to rebook all my flights and Silke sat with me all afternoon and helped me out. The room we stayed in was very charming and clean with a comfortable bed. So despite all the hassle I went through, I got... More

Definitely a good choice in the mid-range B&B spots. The service really elevates the experience as the owners go out of their way to make things easy and comfortable. For example, we needed an adapter for US to UK and Silke made sure we got what we needed and even had her husband pick up amps to replace the fuses... More

I stayed again in this lovely bed and breakfast since I have discovered it two years ago. I would not prefer to stay somewhere else again in Belfast, this is the definite and ultimate Bed and Breakfast I have stayed in so far in Belfast and around. It is convenient of many reasons: the wonderful and warm hosts. Silke is... More

I went on a weekend trip to Belfast and found this amazing B&B. When I took the bus to the B&B the scenery was so beautiful and it only took 15mins from the city centre. The house was very welcoming and the breakfast to die for. =) I stayed at many B&B's and I have to say this has been... More

The bed and breakfast is really lovely, standard but very clean and tidy! Up in the Cavehill area you have beautiful views and you are away from the noisy city center. Only a 15-minute bus journey gets you into the city centre, where you can shop until you drop! I thought Silke and Peter where absolutely fab! The service was... More

I stayed here in October 2006. I found the B&B very bad and the area was very rough, with a lot of local young boys standing up the side of the B&B drinking & sniffing glue. Across the road from it is a lot of flats with rubbish lying everywhere (with RATS!) & the noise pollution was really bad. There... More
