Stayed Saturday 22nd November for my wife's birthday. From the moment you hand over the car keys to the concierge and walk through the doors you are made to feel special. Rooms are super plush, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and have every extra you would need and more. The whole ambience of the hotel is a wonderful experience. Breakfast in... More

Lovely treat for the night Was made really welcome and nothing was any trouble. Staff are attentive without being over the top. this is a really class hotel in the centre of Belfast and worth every penny. Would definitely stay there again for a special occasion. Only wish could afford it more often!!!!

I have ho hesitation in recommending this hotel. It is in central Belfast. Convenient to shops, theatres, Cathedral quarter etc. We were most impressed by the friendly efficient check in. Valet parking available. We opted for an Art Deco style room. Room was well equipped and spacious. The restaurant is in a fantastic ornate room which was originally an old bank. One... More

I go to Afternoon Tea each year with my Granny. She is 81 years old and thoroughly enjoys Her afternoon. The servers are so attentive and cannot do enough to help us. There was so many delights to choose from and what wasn't consumed was nicely packaged up. Cannot wait to return again.

We treated ourselves to a one night stay to celebrate a retirement. This is, without doubt, one of the finest hotels we've stayed in. The interior is opulant without being ostentatious. The staff are warm and friendly and very ready to help. The ladies on reception were welcoming and set the tone for our stay. The concierge team were on... More

My friend and I stayed in the Art Deco twin room. It was big and beautifully decorated in that style. Fantastic large bathroom with free standing bath and large shower. Very comfortable beds and the cleaning was to a very high standard. The staff from the reception to the restaurant for breakfast were very friendly and helpful. We came back... More

I have lived in belfast my whole life. My partner booked us into the merchant for a birthday treat. At first i thought, goodness that must have cost a fortune and wasn't to sure if it would be worth it to stay in belfast. I was proven wrong! My stay was amazing. A spa before Dinner in berts jazz bar.... More

I find that hotels in general fulfil their function but do not provide an 'experience'. Our stay in The Merchant was perfect from start to finish and was an experience! The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our Art Deco bedroom was so big I actually thought we had been upgraded. Watching the traffic going home in the... More

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday.... On our arrival we were greeted warmly at reception, our car was parked for us and we were shown to our beautiful Art Deco room .... Fab-u-lous! A great spacious room and a stunning bathroom! After a stroll around Belfast we arrived back and relaxed in the cocktail bar and savoured the... More

Hotel was just lovely - staff are amazing and very friendly. Special mention to Ryan in private dining. Was really a fab weekend would return anytime. The spa was also well worth the visit, not overpriced and treatment was top class. The cocktails were yummy!
