We attended a wedding yesterday at The Merchant Hotel and also booked a room for the night. What a fabulous day we had! From start to finish we found the service and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff faultless. We had booked valet parking, so on arrival as we checked in, the concierge parked our car. Our room was... More

I booked a deluxe room with an Art Deco theme! The whole hotel was beautifully decorated with such good attention to detail! The bed was the comfiest bed I think I have slept in. We ate at berts and then had afternoon tea the following day. Throughout our stay the service was consistently good, staff were attentive and helpful (particularly... More

By recommendation I visited this hotel with some friends, so there was a group of 5 of us. We inquired about high tea and were told we could have the full high tea or tea/coffee plus something smaller. We were positioned outside the raised central area in the upstairs room and weren't sure why we weren't put in there. When... More

What can I say? What a marvellous experience. The reception area is very unassuming- almost a bit dark n' dingy actually- but wait until you get I to your room. I booked an Art Deco room which was a great size- very roomy, lovely comfy bed, crisp cotton sheets, lovely soft duvet and pillows, stylish seating area, great dressing area... More

We stayed at the merchant hotel for our engagement weekend and was a fantastic experience. the staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was excellent and plenty of choice. I would recommend everyone to stay at least one night in the hotel.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The main restaurant is just perfect. Amazing food and 5 start service. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the vibrant part of Belfast. The choices of bars and clubs to suit all ages is available. The hotel itself isn’t cheap but you... More

We stayed here for just one night in August. We had a great all around experience. The room was very comfortable. Funky decor. Front desk staff was very pleasant. Our concierge (I wish I could remember his name!) was really excellent. He took great care of us, pointed us to a great restaurant that night and for breakfast the next... More

Had a comfortable stay at merchant it's in a exellelent location for bars and restuarants around the cathedral quarter, stayed in a deco room which was very nice, breakfast just ok and very pricey at £20, room service very good, would stay again for a treat

We recently booked for afternoon tea at the merchant. We found it overrated and expensive, compared to other locations across the city. We were presented with a plate of 4 finger sandwiches which were nothing spectacular- ham, chicken, egg and salmon. This was followed by the tier of cakes and scones...some of these like the macaroons were lovely others not... More
