My friend and I went to the cocktail bar and had the best time. We were looked after by Nicole, one of the bar tenders, and she was brilliant. She noticed when we needed serving, so we never once had to wait to order a drink, and she was very friendly, which added to the overall experience. The bar itself... More

A beautiful hotel in a stunning building, unfortunately the very expensive experience was ruined by slow and indifferent staff. Food was good, but could have had equally nice meal in any number of restaurants in Belfast minus the superior attitude!

On occasions for special treats we book into the Merchant for our stay when were in Belfast. A recent combined shopping trip followed by a concert was the reason for this stay. As always we were blown away by the standard of care and the attention to detail. We have stayed in both parts of the Hotel the traditional side... More

This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Belfast, It has a new updated version and the older historic version as it has just expanded. The Restaurant is detailed with gold leafing and is exquisite. It cost a little more, but it was more than a stay.. It was an experience.. Absolutely Breathtaking

I had the pleasure of staying here while on a business trip in November. I have to say it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in in the UK. My bedroom was vast, warm, spotlessly clean with an extremely comfy bed and every amenity provided. The bathroom was very well designed and absolutely huge. Service levels are very high... More

The BFM and other half stayed overnight in the newer section of the Merchant Hotel in January 2014. We were very excited to stay there. It was a bed and brekky deal. We were given a tour of the hotel and were impressed by the facilities. 16 Skipper Street, Belfast BT1 2DY, Northern Ireland 028 9023 4888 http://www.themerchanthotel.com/ We had... More

Stayed here one night very recently and did not want to leave. From the moment you step into the lobby you are looked after. The service is as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated with lovely bathrooms and toiletries. I am fussy and I could not find fault in this beautiful hotel. We... More

Went here for afternoon tea about two weeks ago with family. The inside of the building is amazing and was beautifully done for xmas. We were seated at our table and coats were taken. Staff were fairly attentive, we did have to ask a few times for some things like more jam and another coffee etc...I enjoyed the turkey sandwiches... More

My partner, 2 friends and myself visited this hotel for a drink on Saturday night with the view to possibly making a booking for an event we are attending in Belfast later next year. As neither of us had been there before we wondered was it worth paying £240 per night. We arrived around 8.45 the lobby area was busy... More
