Attending a Conference and 'booked in' for two nights. Despite all activity with night life in the surrounding area no noise/annoyance encountered. From arrival to departure could not jhave received any better treatment and any queries were met with most helpful positive responses. Good food, wonderful surroundings with personnel who are good ambassadors for not only The Merchant but the... More

Just home from a lovely overnight stay in The Merchant Hotel, to say we were treated like royalty would be an understatement...nothing was too much trouble, we were warmly welcomed and very well looked after throughout our stay! We were shown to our Art Deco bedroom by Peter who was very friendly and helpful, and our room was very comfortable,... More

Save for the occasional, distant church bell, which was hardly noticeable, the Merchant Hotel was an extremely quiet oasis. Art Deco touches with modern comfort, including very efficient, quiet air conditioning, add to the comfort and elegance. Great rooftop gym with sauna overlooking the city and outdoor jacuzzi viewing the Leaning Tower. Breakfast in the The Great Room is a... More

We attended a wedding yesterday at The Merchant Hotel and also booked a room for the night. What a fabulous day we had! From start to finish we found the service and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff faultless. We had booked valet parking, so on arrival as we checked in, the concierge parked our car. Our room was... More

I booked a deluxe room with an Art Deco theme! The whole hotel was beautifully decorated with such good attention to detail! The bed was the comfiest bed I think I have slept in. We ate at berts and then had afternoon tea the following day. Throughout our stay the service was consistently good, staff were attentive and helpful (particularly... More

By recommendation I visited this hotel with some friends, so there was a group of 5 of us. We inquired about high tea and were told we could have the full high tea or tea/coffee plus something smaller. We were positioned outside the raised central area in the upstairs room and weren't sure why we weren't put in there. When... More

What can I say? What a marvellous experience. The reception area is very unassuming- almost a bit dark n' dingy actually- but wait until you get I to your room. I booked an Art Deco room which was a great size- very roomy, lovely comfy bed, crisp cotton sheets, lovely soft duvet and pillows, stylish seating area, great dressing area... More

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The main restaurant is just perfect. Amazing food and 5 start service. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the vibrant part of Belfast. The choices of bars and clubs to suit all ages is available. The hotel itself isn’t cheap but you... More
