We arrived on Friday to stay for 1 night. We were upgraded to superior room but it wasn't ready on our arrival as we were early. Left our bags and went shopping. When we came back at 5pm we were given the key to our room. Got to room on third floor to find it was like a sauna. Interior... More

Took a meal and overnight stay package which was good value, with a well equiped room at the front of the hotel. Meal was nothing special and the addition of a bottle of mineral water cost us £11.50. Don't even think about going near the mini-bar. Manager must have listened to previous reviews as our room had a fan. Had... More

Good hotel with excellent attentive staff, but the rooms are unbearably hot. If you you want a good night’s sleeps do not stay here. Looking at the previous comments this is an ongoing issue, which needs to be addressed, the duty manager readily gave us a refund when we complained, but gave limp excuses about being a listed building and... Superb central location. Nice enough hotel. No real complaints. I wouldn't mind staying there again. It seemed oppressively dark, sometimes. Breakfast looked expensive and sounded a little unappetizing. Best to go out into town for a decent breakfast at a fraction of the cost maybe.

It fits with the standard Mal spec very well.... i a have stayed here many times The restaurant seems a bit brightly lit for an evening meal but works well for breakfast. The bar area is not helped by the long narrow shape which leaves it feeling a little soulless. The rooms at the back are noisy when the bin... More

On a spur of the moment trip to Ireland, we decided Belfast had to be one of the stops. Not aware of the fact that the Giro d'Italia was in town, it was impossible to find a room. We landed out of desperation at Malmaison. From the outside and the lobby, it looked like the chic funky hotel it is... More

We really like this hotel, really well situated and the staff a really helpful and nice. The room was smart and funky but compact. The only issue we had was it was quite hot and you couldn't open the window because of the noise but that didn't distract from our stay and we would return. We had a few drinks... More

I love their "funky" approach. Yes it is a bit dark but my room - a standard one - was fine. Friendly reception staff. Good room amenities. Breakfast was excellent - no buffet stuff for the hot food so it was fresh. And no need to make your own toast either. Service was a bit slow in the bar in... More

On arrival we were really pleased with our choice. Hotel is beautifully decorated. Staff were so helpful and pleasant on arrival. We went to our room had... More

With eight of us staying for two nights something had to go wrong! Well it did however I must say the hotel looks great. Design and decoration is different than most of the boring modern hotels. The problems were... 1. Beds are small unless you get an Accessible room where the beds are much wider 2. Cleanliness was poor. One... More
