Stayed for one night and was booked in without knowing anything about the place. Received a very warm welcome. Stayed in the single without en-suite bathroom which wasn't ideal, although the room itself was really nicely decorated, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Location was a bit of a downside, being a mile or so from any restaurants which... more

We stayed here for a conference weekend and had a great stay. The Callans were very knowledgable and gave us great advice re transport, places to visit and eat. The rooms were very well appointed, clean and decorated to a high standard. The breakfasts were fantastic, I have never tasted porridge like it(must have been the Irish mist liqueur). We were made very welcome and... more

Our initial reaction upon seeing our room .... "Wow!!" Was slightly tricky to find on this busy road, but once we'd parked in the tightish car park - the experience was lovely. Great friendly, knowledgeable hosts, lovely quiet rooms. Well equipped - lovely very comfy bed and great TV with all the channels you want. Breakfasts are great - best... more

The place is a little hard to find. There is no sign, just a number on the gate. Our GPS thought it was on the opposite side of the street. Parking is about normal for a B&B, which means it's a little tight. The rooms are very nice indeed. We had one on the ground floor, which was nice for... more

My two young adult daughters and I stayed for several nights at the Old Rectory and were very pleased with our stay. Our room for three looking out over the front garden was comfortable and roomy enough with a large ensuite bathroom. We enjoyed tea and biscuits provided in the room. Mary, our hostess, was very pleasant and helpful as... more

The Callans are nice people and provided me with an above average place to stay for almost two weeks in Belfast. Sure the rooms need some attention with cracked ceilings and a broken window and such but it is a very old building and the maintaince of the facility is far above many of the others I have seen. Breakfast... more

Staying Old Rectory made my holiday in Belfast very special. The owners and staff were very hospitable, flexible and friendly. They even gave me a lift in town as I was almost missing a mini bus tour which was also found/sorted out by them! The room was spacious and very clean. I will defo go back again!! more

I have read some of the other reviews and can't believe that anyone could find anything to complain about with this property. Our room was scrupulously clean, the food was very fine, the owners were hospitable and friendly and the location is superb - downtown is easily accessed by convenient and regular buses. We would certainly recommend this B&B to... more
