First things to complain about: WIFI didin't work in rooms and there were lot of young people who didn't care about the silence time, so don't forget to bring earplugs. I mean it! Walls were very thin and our room was next to an elevator and a stairway, it was really a mission impossible to sleep without earplugs and I... More

Although the staff was very polite and helpful, the room that my boyfriend and I stayed in was filthy. There was gum and grime all over the carpet and the bathroom was unhygienic. The sink looked like it had never been cleaned. The sheets were clean but given the state of the rest of the room we didn't feel comfortable... More

Hello Ipp 1289 Many thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay at our Belfast International Youth Hostel. I am so disappointed to read your feedback, there is indeed absolutely no excuse for an unclean room and I am horrified to hear that this was your impression. We most certainly do not operate a "you get what you... More

Disturbed sleep on both nights stay. Lots of noise from the plumbing (taps are push down and make a loud thud when reset). This was heard from other rooms. Especially in the early hours of the morning, when people were leaving early to travel. Very Grumpy and Rude Night Staff. Had no patience or consideration for folk who had just... More

Hi Spurto - thank you very much for your review of our Belfast International Youth Hostel. Ensuring that our guests have a good nights sleep is one of the most important aspects of our service and to hear that you did not experience this is extremely disappointing. We have "push down" taps for environmental reasons - to reduce the amount... More

We went there for the weekend. It was the cheapest we could find. It is located in a very good neighbourhood. If you want to visit the peace walls or the titanic monument, the fish etc of course you need to walk. They don't allow take away food in the rooms and I agree with this policy, but they don't... The lack of soap for toilets makes it a bit less sanitary; people can be cheap and find it an inconvenience to wash when no soap is provided. Even periodic hand sanitizer dispensers would be better. Only 2 lockers for 4 person room. Love the cafe!

Hello Michelle D Many thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay at our Belfast International Youth Hostel. Unfortunately in the past, providing soap in the toilets was not considered a requirement by hostels, However, I TOTALLY agree with you that it is far from sanitary and have indeed been requesting that this issue be addressed now for... I enjoyed staying in the hostel more than I anticipated, really! Its location is excellent and the room was very clean and comfortable. The hostel also has a great cafe that serves good food, though they also provide a well-equipped self-catering kitchen. Service was great too, and I love the fact that the staff were very accommodating, making me feel... More

Very big hotel, not much ambiance but very very clean. Bedrooms are ok with a sink in each bedroom and there are a lot of shower and toilet so you don't wait. There is also a cleaner and a dryer for 4 pounds each wich was nice. The kitchen is big, clean and well-equiped. Lack of young people but overall... More

Hi Mia L - thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent stay at our Belfast International Youth Hostel. I really enjoyed staying here. It was pretty well located - close enough to the city centre and right next to the botanic gardens and university. I stayed in a four bed room, which I thought was the right size for a hostel. The only complaint I have was that there weren't enough conveniently placed power outlets. There were two... More

We stayed 2 nights in a private room with ensuite bathroom. Very accessible from the bus/train station (about 10-15min walk) and we just about managed to get around the city centre entirely on foot. Living quarters and bathroom were clean and quite big. One of the electrical sockets in our room was spoilt so the two of us had to... More

I stayed here as a part of a tour. The hostel facilities were great; clean bathrooms, easy to use laundry and internet kiosks. As far as hostels go this is pretty decent. It is close to many great attractions and within walking distance to some nice eateries. If I was to do a hostel type trip again I would stay... More
