Haven't been in the Ivanhoe since it has been renovated..decor is gorgeous and food and service is excellent. Our waitress couldn't have helped us more (I think her name is Shannon). I couldn't criticise anything from our food here tonight and will definitely be back!

We were married in Belfast in 1967 and were visiting with family and friends as part of our 50th celebrations. This was one of our first meals during the visit and it really set the atmosphere well. I will not labour save to say the service could not be improved upon, for e.g I do not eat deserts but I... More

We had one overnight in the fantastic suite- double aspect and a lot of luxury. The suite was so comfortable and very attractively presented. Clean and temperature of room perfect. Breakfast in the newly renovated dining area was cooked to order and excellent quality- not the usual hotel self-service. Really impressed with the friendly staff, fantastic breakfast and excellent suite.... More

If you are passing the Ivanhoe or live close - when you drop in you will find lovely service and a great variety on the menu - of all meats & fish & good vegetairian options. Wide selection of starters, main courses & desserts with daily specials. The food was delicious & fresh - we ordered onion rings & they... More

I really like this place, have enjoyed lunch and dinner there recently. My one pet hate thought is where they charge extra for Mayo/ketchup!!! I think when you have a meal these should be a part of it!

The hotel is newly renovated but only the outside and the lobby which actually looks nice. The room we had was certainly dated. There is no air conditioning, therefore we had to keep the windows open. Sadly that would allow bugs to enter, which we had to kill whenever we returned from our day trips. The wifi internet did not... More

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay here in The Ivanhoe. In all honesty we have never needed air conditioning in Northern Ireland where the temperature is usually low and we have never advertised that we do offer air conditioning. The windows have net curtains which should keep out any bugs. There certainly was a... More

We stayed here June 20th for the weekend. Staff and other guests were so friendly. Made our stay even better. Only gripe I had with Belfast in general was it was way too expensive for drinks only did bottles of pop and not draft pop in all pubs.

Just called in to Bistro around 3.45pm and received a friendly welcome and very quick service. We both had a lovely meal and the desserts were to die for! Although they are quite pricey for a 3 star hotel. Another negative was the price of the drink. In future I would opt for a carafe of water.

Great night. 4th July barbecue, great food and music. Diff worth a visit. Excellent staff, couldn't be more helpful. The bar and waiting staff are on a par with any top hotel in the city centre. The improved decor/restyling have made the Ivanhoe one of the top hotels in Belfast.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. We are glad you enjoyed it. We are holding another bbq Saturday 15th August, it would be great if you could attend. More

Obviously the recent renovations cost a lot of money and it seems that that money is now being recuperated in overpriced food prices. I note they charge £2.50 for a jug of diluted orange (80% of which is tap water!). Most four and five star proper hotels don't even stoop that low. Extra wheaten bread (because they only brought out... More
