Myself and my mam stayed here for a two night break in January. The location was fantastic, the food was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It is loud due to it being a busy hotel and venue in a really cool area but to me, that was fine as we were surrounded by cafes, restaurants and... More

Could not fault this place, lovely room, clean, tidy and comfortable, attentive staff fab service. I had one of the best meals I've had in a long time in the lovely restaurant. Enjoyed the singer in the bar such a good atmosphere. I would highly recommend the hotel and will definitely be back...

Attentive and responsive staff. Clean, spacious modern rooms. Excellent location for university and not bad for city centre. Bargain cocktail happy hour with live music in large bar. Generous breakfasts.

Not the first time we have stayed at the Madison and it wont be the last. Nice quiet room for a good sleep then a good wholesome breakfast. Staff friendly. Look forward to going back. (do try the cocktails in the bar...we kept going back for more!!)

Unfortunately after trying this establishment out again, after a long while, it really surprised me that it had gone down hill and hadnt kept up its usual good standard. The seating and tables in the bar are grubby, ugly and threadbare. Toilets are horrendous, and all 5 of the ladies toilets were not fit to use. Extremely filthy. On a... More

Myself and my sister took advantage of their £20pp January sale. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist and check in was quick. We went to our room which was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfy. We went down to the bar area where we enjoyed a few cocktails (happy hour is £3 per cocktail). We went back... More

Stayed with my wife for one night on 29th December as a Christmas treat. Lovely staff always very helpful and welcoming. Stayed in room 107 having booked directly through the hotels own site. Very disappointed with the room. View of the bins and a brick wall. No telephone in room. No beside lamps, alarm clock etc and a tiny shampoo... More
