It is very rare to stay somewhere and not be able to fault anything about your stay. However, the Tara Lodge really was one of those places. Spotlessly clean, decorated without any areas of neglect, good location with a 10 minute walk to the city and a 5 minute stroll to Queens University. The staff were first class, just friendly... We were only in Ireland for a day and half, as we wanted to visit the Giant’s Causeway. The Tara Lodge was the perfect location between Dublin and Northern Ireland. We arrived around 12 pm and fortunately, our room was ready. The receptionist was kind, as she checked the hours of operation of the causeway. She even gave us tips... More

A small, intimate hotel with the focus upon friendly and helpful service, and good value. Nothing is too much for the staff. Room was spacey with a HUGE bed. Good location too, 5 mins walk from Ulster Museum, 10 mins from City Hall. Will stay there again.

We booked Tara Lodge based on the many positive reviews and were not disappointed. Nice, clean rooms, very friendly reception, nice breakfast but with somewhat limited choice. So not quite what we've expected based on the many praises. However, this is rather a high-end B&B than a hotel e.g. no bar or restaurant. Nothing wrong about that though. Location is... More

I arrived at just after 9am due to my flights and was able to check in with very helpful receptionist! Location was just what was required fifteen minute walk outside of he centre and was easy to find even late at night. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was excellent.

We stayed here for two nights - a Saturday and Sunday. The first night was very hot and when we opened the windows all we could hear was trains, cars racing up the road and very noisy people. Reception kindly provided us with a fan so we could at least close the windows but there were two lads under our... More

Stayed here many times while working in Belfast. Staff are very friendly, breakfast is good and rooms are great. 10 min walk into city, queens just up the road. Private car park is good. Recommend to anyone

Stayed for 2 nights. Very impressed by helpfulness of staff. Fresh modern decor, comfortable spacious room equipped with handy gadgets, nespresso machine, GHDs, good sized iron. Delicious breakfasts were served efficiently and very well presented. Can't wait to go back!

Even though we were a tad early (1.30pm), our room was ready. The car park is accessed through a carriageway from the street and is able to be locked by a gate at night. Room 21 is a ground floor room in what others have called "the annex", but is really just that part of the hotel which is accessed... More
