My wife and I stayed at Bienvenue in June 2009. In the past there have been some rather adverse comments about Bienvenue, but I am happy to say that if these were justified at the time, then according to our experience things have improved. The present manageress, a lady called Brie, is extremely helpful and provides an excellent breakfast. The... more

This house is spectacular, very well kept. The rooms are spacious, and well lit. Friendly staff, quiet location, and great breakfasts. It is also immaculately clean! ElizeLilian- if you want the Ritz, pay for the Ritz. As guest houses/ B&Bs go, this is one of the best I have ever stayed in. more

What a beautiful house - and with so much potential. Unfortunately, little of that potential was realised during my brief stay. The room was immaculately clean - I honestly couldn't fault that. It was light and airy. The decor and furniture were slightly dated and a wee bit battered (the bed was very creaky!) but clean and serviceable. The stairway,... more

Our room was large - plenty of windows, light, and clean. The house is on a quiet street, though you can hear through the walls. There was a slightly musty smell in the room, which we got used to - the bedding was fresh and changed daily, so I think it's more to do with the size and age of... more

Shabby is the best word to describe the house. There is scuffed or peeling paint, torn curtains, stained carpet, threadbare linen, and an overall musty smell. The house is hidden behind tall shrubs and trees, and the guesthouse sign is a small plaque next to the front door, making the guesthouse difficult to locate. Most television channels on the TV... more

We spent two night at the Bienvenue Guesthouse and were very happy with our top-floor accommodation. The room was spacious and clean, featuring a new queen-sized bed and pleasant views across the very quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was arranged the previous day and was delivered promptly, when we finally made it down to the breakfast room. The portions were more than... more

I have stayed in many guesthouses in Belfast and this has to be my favourite. My friend and I stayed in Bienvenue for a business trip. Lorna was VERY welcoming and helpful with providing us with all the infiormation we needed to get about Belfast, where to eat etc. She let us choose basically whatever we wanted for breakfast and... more

So many things were wrong I don't know where to begin! THE FOOD: We arrived late Tuesday night and Lorna took our breakfast orders through verbal communication. Next morning, only 1 order was correct. Another morning there was a hair in my food and it was obviously not mine as it was attached to the potato bit I got. However,... more

The Bienvenue is great! The manageress is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious and the food is lovely! It is also very close to Queen's and other attractions. All for £38 a night or less if sharing! more

Two weeks ago I contacted the Bienvenue Guesthouse by email to check the price and cost of booking a double room for sole occupancy for a night's stay in November. The Manageress was extremely helpful and quoted me a great rate. I telephoned the hotel a fortnight prir to my arrival in Belfast to make the booking for Monday 17th... more
