Stayed here for 1 night sat 18th Oct. Room was fine. A wee bit unfinished but was comfy for a single room. Was a bit on the cold side on the evening I was there. No heating on... Shared bathroom... shower not great. Water wasn't v warm and there wasn't much power from it. With the shower not beening v... More

ok I can rough it, but I would rather not for £65 a night, the room was hostel quality I'm sorry to say, the smell of paint was very strong, clearly it was an attempt to cover damp, very badly painted almost as much paint over the carpet, switches etc. as on the walls, the tiles in the shower had... I was surprised at how great our stay was here, especially after reading all the bad reviews on here! When we arrived late our room key was in an envelope pinned to the outside of the front door. I soon learned that this is common for a guest house. The rooms were in great condition and we shared a bathroom... More

I made a confirmed reservation at Camera House on July 3, 2014 through Booking.com for September 6, 2014 for one night. I arrived on September 6 at 5 PM and the owner told me she had contacted booking.com earlier in the day to tell them she was overbooked. She claimed she wasn't even aware of the overbooking until today. She... More

This place is carefully decorated and in a beautiful old building. Some of it is starting to look a little old and tired, but it is fairly clean and functional. However, the beds are the worst! We stayed in room 8 (triple) and the mattress springs dug into your back. So uncomfortable! The wifi doesn't work in the bedrooms, we... More

This place was horrible to stay in. Don't waste your money. We had booked this on booking.com and had reserved 2 rooms (1 that was a double and the other a triple both with their own bathrooms). I called that day to confirm our reservations and was told that everything was great. When we arrived we found out that the... More

Everything Bill WJP had to say I fully support, in fact I am sure we had the same room. The kettle had to be placed on the floor because the cord was too short, the shelf at the hand basin was on a 15 degree angle, the pillows had seen many many tired heads and the springs in the mattress... More

My wife had already booked this before I read the previous reviews (mostly bad!). I don't agree with the harshness of many previous reviews. The house is gorgeous and in a beautiful upper class neighbourhood in Belfast. Even inside, the house is quite nice and features very tall ceilings and classic furniture. The coolest aspect is perhaps an antique toilet.... More

Good location, very quiet, and once upon a time very salubrious; walking distance from University, Ulster Museum, Ryan's Pub, and solid walk to the City. The outside of Camera House, the lounge, and the breakfast room are great. The staff really helpful. There was free WiFi. Breakfast was good. But the place is tired and worn, and really needs some...
