Be aware, this property is deceptive. Looks good from the outside, yet shabby inside. No hot water, shower not working as you would expect (apparently requires you to hold the on button in for half a minute or so to work, yet there was no sign to advise this!!!). Beds awful, and just not a good experience overall. If you... More

Greeting upon arrival was nice. When we got up to the room it had been half cleaned and we had to wait like grapes for the person who I guessed was the manager to get clean pillow cases. There was a plastic bag full of some sort of used soap on top of the toilet which had probably been left... More

My wife and I are totally dissatisfied with our stay on 27 June. Why? Curtain was inadequate to cover the window at night. Noisy, archaic and frightening pumping system for the toilet. Water pipes running vertically through the bedroom. Tiny shower unit that is impossible to enter unless you are quite small. A single socket available for plugging in anything... More

Negatives: No hot water in our bathroom sink for the duration of our stay. Other guests had same problem. Perhaps the boiler wasn't switched on as showers were electrically heated. We had a very small shower enclosure with old and wonky shower head. The shower doors didn't close. Toilet and waste water are pumped electronically from the wastes in the... More

Booked two rooms more than a month ago and when we got to belfast we rang them to be told they had double booked us and had moved us to the travelodge for the night but they would have our two rooms for the next day. Arrived in the guest house on the Saturday to be told we had to... More

Booked a room through an agency and paid for online through the same agency, when I was leaving the following morning they said they hadn't received payment so I asked her to check as I was sure the room was paid for, she said she couldn't check and could I pay by any other means which I did by credit... Camera Guest House is an authentic 19th-century Victorian building situated in the leafy suburbs of South Belfast. It takes its name from the many photographers who stayed here during the 'troubles' who wanted to avoid the bigger, easily-targeted hotels.
