The staff and breakfast were lovely and the location was decent, but "shoebox" is the best way to describe the rooms. The guesthouse is very old, run-down, and cold. Terrible wi-fi in the rooms. The walls are paper thin. I didn't have a horrible stay, but can't say I would come back.

I arrived late and was able to obtain a room at a great price, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and the location was close to where I wanted to go. Not too far to walk to cafe and coffee shops and landmarks. I enjoyed this location. I was there October 2014

Stayed for two nights for a Remembrance weekend in Belfast. Picked the guest house on price initially as the hotels in the city centre were a lot more than I was prepared to pay. This was an excellent price and is less than a mile from the ‘centre’ of Belfast (for me the Europa bus terminal, as I flew into... More

The room was very nice and clean, the breakfast excellent! The hotel was an easy walk from the centre of town. The staff were very friendly. The city bus stop was a couple of blocks away and it's near Queens University.

Not only were the scrambled eggs the best I had in six weeks in Europe, but Hilary and Renata were very helpful in ordering a tour and taxi for us. Our room was spacious and quiet with everything we needed for our comfort. The location is perfect, close to the bus stop and many parts of Belfast that we wanted... More

Wonderfully managed by Renata. Great downtown location. Superb Ulster Fry. Clean but tired. Decor and fittings need a refurb. Friendly relaxed efficient and very homely. Stayed here for four nights for evening performances at the Grand Opera House so frequented the room for most of the day and serving room outside these hours was not a problem.

Windermere Guest House is okay. It could use new carpet in the rooms. The double room we stayed in was clean but worn. With a little bit of paint and remodel it could be a nice place. The location is close to downtown yet still quiet. The bathrooms have been remodeled and even though you have to walk down the hallway... More

I always stay here. It's friendly, reasonably priced with comfortable rooms and great food. Very handy for everything but far enough from the main road to be quiet and peaceful. It does not have en-suites but unless you like to spend all your time in the bathroom that is not a problem plus there are ample facilities. It's a great... More

Nice location but more of 1960's experience than a 2010's Old Victorian building needs a good lick of paint. Furniture , obviously whatever old furniture the landlord had. No en-suit bathroom, have to go down some stairs to access them. Pity, because the staff and the breakfast were excellent. Last point....Their credit card reader was not working....Had to get cash...
