I read some bad reviews and was worried about my stay here. I was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely a budget hotel but with a free breakfast, clean room and friendly staff I really have no complaints. We were only a few minutes from the city centre and dining started around the corner. The staff was very helpful in giving... more

First impression: "Have we made the right decision, the location is grotty?" Well actually I found this a great hotel, located near some nice resturants and interesting landmarks close to the city. I mean YES, the houses down the street are horrible and need of repair but what a lovely warm reception from the hotel management.... couldn't help enough. Well... more

I booked this hotel because it was one of the very few in the area that provided parking. I expected a reasonable standard because of the brand name, but overall I was disappoined. Staff were fine, but the room was small and a little tired, but the biggest problem was the noise from other guests. I returned to the hotel... more

The hotel was situated further out of the city then we would have liked. A 20 minute walk but it was near to the Botanic Gardens and Queens University so near tourist spots. It was a short walk to the bus stop for the Open top bus tour which we found convenient. The staff in the hotal are really helpful... more

Having read the reviews on this hotel I was slightly worried but I had no need to be. The hotel was fine and there was lots of free parking at the back. There wasn't any noise from the street or other rooms when we were there. The room was your usual hotel room We found the hotel staff were all... more

My boyfriend and I were going to Belfast for an appointment at the US Embassy, a taxi was only minutes away so it was agreat location for anyone heading there. It was our first time in Belfast and the hotel is just two streets away from the 'golden strip' where all the restaurant, bars and slightly further down, shops, are.... more

I stayed at the 'Express by Holiday Inn Belfast' last month and was very disappointed with this hotel. Its more like a hostel, very basic accommodation and very over priced at £75 per room per night. The only good thing about this is hotel is the buffet breakfast and secure locked parking. more

Advance booking on the website cost £58, which worked out cheaper than the youth hostel and three b and b's we tried. The hotel itself is a bit shabby, so first impressions weren't great, but everything was perfectly adequate. We found the staff extremely friendly and more helpful than in expensive hotels. There aren't any cute little bottles of toiletries, but... more

This is a very bad example of the worst end of holiday inn. I like holiday inn usually but this place is dreadful and expensive considering the price of really nice hotels nearby in much better locations. I stay in Belfast a lot and the price of this place was the same as I have since paid to stay in... more

Stopped here for a 3 day - 2night break with family (father in law from belfast originally so met up with his family). Hotel was pretty much what you expect for what you pay - overall very good value for money. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine - was warm and fresh. Overall no... more
