Had afternoon tea here for a special occasion, service was awful, the two girls were under pressure, not the waitress fault, the scones were slices of fruit cake when we asked for proper scones, we were told the waitress that the scone was a slice of cake, she brought us two plain slices of scone/cake, after asking 3 times for... Had a lovely afternoon tea here, staff and service all very good. My only problem was that we had to eat at a coffee table which was very low to the ground and I'm thinking there is just something missing...atmosphere or back ground music but over all would go back and recommend it.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We do have some chairs that are more of the comfy style, perhaps more suitable for a relaxed chat over a cuppa than afternoon tea, we usually offer the afternoon tea at a higher tables. Kind regards & hope to see you again. More

A delightful experience. The staff were most welcoming, Sharon, Nicole, Helen, Meghan and Karen were on hand and very helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was first class. Back to the future and perfect.

Recently, I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with a very good friend in Maryville House. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was nicely decorated and the food was good. We each had a small pie, a choice of sandwiches, a warm scone and a selection of petit fours - I had to bring home a 'doggy bag'!

Meeting friends for dinner and drinks on the Lisburn Road, close to Christmas and I decided to stay in Belfast to make the most of the continental market and St Georges Market on the Sunday. It was a bit of a last minute decision and I decided to stay at Maryville House based on its location (very top of the... More

Three friends and I stayed at Maryville House for one night, it was brilliant. From the warm welcome on arrival until our departure next day, everything and everyone was just lovely. The house is beautiful. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding. Girls were very helpful, pleasant and nothing was too much... More

My family and I had the Christmas afternoon tea on Saturday afternoon. It was a lovely experience. We had a room upstairs and were the only guests in it. It was tastefully decorated for Christmas. The staff were very efficient and pleasant. The mulled wine (non alcoholic) was delicious, and then followed warm savoury tarts, a very good selection of... More

On Friday I came to Maryville house with my mum for some afternoon tea. On arrival we were met by a blonde girl named Catherine who looked after us for the duration of our time there, she was brilliant & we could not fault her service! The food was delicious and the place was relaxing and clean. If you're looking... More

We stayed in the Earl Grey room for 2 nights. The service was great- the staff were very nice & accommodating. We had a cooked breakfast one morning and croissants the next were both delicious! The tea making facilities are also wonderful, with small samples of the tray bakes that are on offer in the tea room, which were also... More
