The hostel is really good. The bedroom are quite big and the bathrooms very clean. The staff was great and very helpful! The breakfast free was a very nice touch. Steve is a great owner and gives really nice tips about what to do in Belfast. Everyone should book the Black Taxi Tour and Giant's Causeway tour that the hostel... More

The staff was great! So helpful!! The breakfast was excellent!! It wasn't just your regular continental breakfast!! the beds were so comfortable and clean! They had blinds to block out light, and sound, made it quite dark so it was easy to sleep. The Wi-Fi was excellent, you could access anywhere in the hostel, and it was strong. They had... More

Considering the price (£26 for three nights), Lagan hostel was a really good stay. It was clean, very friendly staff and a nice comfortable environment between the guest. Sure enough, there was no luxuries, the rooms had the bare minimum, but for the price there was nothing to complain about. An extra bonus was that breakfast was included and the... More

The member of staff that greeted me was super friendly. But when I entered the room, I was left disappointed. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, I assume the smoking area was right beneath the window. The bunk I was in was horribly squeaky. Two of the four lockers (this was a six bed dorm) had no means... More

We not even had checked-in yet and some friendly people came and offered a good dinner(at that day, dinner was free!). Breakfast is made when you ask, and one can choose what you want among some options. Shower was good, however we think they should have more bathrooms to attend that number of guests. Bedroom was ok, not very clean... More

Right away when we checked in our receptionist marked up a map filled with places to go. The staff was great but our favorite was Melissa, She helped us find and bunch of great places to go and even showed us to a pub with some of the best live pub music i've heard. The hostel was in good walking... More

At the beginning everything went smooth and nice - we checked in, the receptionist assisted us on a black cab political tour (which was truly great) and we left luggage in our room. In the evening there was however no place to sit and eat or have a drink. We had extreme bad luck with one of our rommates who... More

I stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm for three nights. When I arrived I was very impressed by the extent the staff went to make me comfortable - it was late, I was exhausted and sick and desperate to get to bed. I was checked in quickly, offered washing services and told to make the most of the BBQ... More

Lagan Backpakers... Firstly, I've been in hostels worldwide and I'm generally slow to criticise as they are usually dealing with a lot of people, many of whom who don't clean up after themselves or care for anybody else staying there... Anyway, Lagan Backpackers is well located in Belfast beside Queens and the welcome was quite warm. The room was ok,... More

The hostel is close to the botanical gardens and Ulster museum. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast is great! You chose from 5 options, I recommend the English breakfast, and they serve you. The kitchen is small though so it can be hard to get a seat. Coffee and tea is free all day, self serve in the...
