We have just returned from a weekend away in South Wales, & can honestly say we had a lovely stay at The Alexander. The welcome we received was excellent, very friendly & welcoming. We booked the last room that they had available and were warned that the room was small. We're still trying to work out why! Ok it wasn't... More

Stayed at the Alexander hotel when visiting the Singleton hospital for training on two separate occasions. I found both Heino and Lynn very welcoming. Each time I had a different room which was clean, good décor with crisp white bed linen which smelt gorgeous. The bed was extremely comfortable, good bathroom facilities and the breakfast catered to every taste. There... More

Yes a nice welcome, very pleasing Host, but a vew mishaps which should not have happened. The toilet would not flush, and dripped constantly during the night, my wife was unable to sleep; we did not feel it opportune to call the "owners" in the middle of the night!!! When I mentioned it in the morning " I will check... More

We are very sorry that we did not come up to the customers expectations. We have never had a problem with the water temperature, the only thing that we feel could have happened is that the guest did not know how to regulate the temperature on the taps. The toilet is a central button press system and flushes if used... More

Stayed in The Alexander hotel when we visited Swansea University. The hotel was in a good location, about 15-20 minutes walk to the university and the sea front. The check-in was prompt, the room we stayed in was spacious and the decor chic and cute. The bathroom was clean, plenty of amenities and towels. There was tea/coffee making facility, a... More

The Alexander: Easy parking; warmly welcomed by Hieno; spotless and tastefully decorated room (quietly situated on top floor overlooking the Bay) with tea, coffee, cocoa, and biscuits; en-suite plentiful of shampoo, soaps, bathrobe and towels; wonderful night’s sleep (very comfy beds); lovely cooked breakfast with ‘additional’ breakfast offerings: yoghurts’, nuts, fruit, cheese etc. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have just spent 1 night as we were collecting our daughter from Swansea Uni. Excellent room with very generous supply of tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Although we did not have the full English breakfast others around us did and it was well received. I had fresh fruit salad and toast. Good choice to suit all tastes.... More

This is a very good hotel in a nice location, with shops and restaurants very close by. City Centre is short walk or easy cab ride, as is the University. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again for sure!

Had a fantastic stay at The Alexander. The owner was one of the friendliest people you could have met, and the breakfast is something else not to be faulted at all. Even though there is not much to do in Swansea, staying in a clean friendly place still makes for a great time.

It's a bit far from the centre so it took me a while to get there. Since I went in the room I felt I've done the right choose! Tidy, cosy, everything is easy to reach. The room 8 that I stayed has a view towards the Mumbles bay. The desk set in front of the window just makes you... More
