The location and value of this hotel are everything. Try staying in the attached cottages. The beach and bay in front of the hotel are superb. The accommodation is good in the ground floor cottages. Pets can stay there too. Try the 2 nights for 1 night out of season offers. Don't expect the ritz but then you are not... more

Stayed 3 nts in Olde School House,,twin room; v. satisfied,,there was a heat wave ,,that helped. Staying in the cottages was probably a bonus as the hotel did not immediately impress. `Dated `,comes to mind with a feel of the late 50`s about the furnishing and decor. The refurbished cottage rooms conform to expected higher standards of our European neighbours,... more

i recently booked a 1 night stay in the hotel as a birthday surprise for my partner, due to unforseen circumstances i had to cancel and rang the hotel. The service i received was of utmost professionalism and the female receptionist was curteous and polite. Even though it was of short notice i received a full refund on the deposit... more

The Hotel is set in a beautiful position by the beach and bay. We couldn't reach the check in desk as there was a customer sat having a drink blocking our way through. Having got the room keys we made our way up to our 'sea view' room. Noticed that the fire escape door at the end of the corridor... more

We booked the Oxwich Bay hotel,,as a romantic break...We were given the Little Tor bedroom which was supposed to be for 2 People,. Great if your a under 5ft! I could cope with the 2 flights of stairs. There was not enough room to swing a cat. Very plush fittings lovely looking furnishings, but you could only get out of... more

We visited this hotel in January 2009, pretty much as a last minute booking. We were aware of the bay, but hadn't stayed at the hotel before. I'd checked reviews online before, and seen a very mixed bag of experiences..but having returned, I think it's fair to say the Oxwich Bay Hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. The... more

We have just returned from a Winter weekend break at the Oxwich Bay Hotel. We stayed with our two teenage children and had a fantastic weekend. The views speak for themselves and the area offers wonderful walking experiences for all levels of fitness. The hotel, although not a "swanky 5 star" hotel, is homely, welcoming and comfortable. The staff, without... more

Just returned from christmas on the beach at Oxwich Bay hotel, on the Gower, after reading some older reviews, didn't expect too much of the rooms, but we have been there for lunch before and knew the setting was perfect. We booked direct with the hotel in room 41, in the school house, 2 minutes walk to the hotel, ample... more

I was one of a party of 20 walkers so the coastal paths and beaches were the main attraction but the hotel was just the icing on the cake. The food was very good with plenty of choice for varying tastes and the staff managed the task of serving 20 people "en block" very well. Our group was spread throughout... more

We travelled to Oxwich Bay and turned up at the hotel without having booked anywhere to stay. The receptionist told us that they had 4 rooms available in the cottages, gave us the keys and left us to look around and choose whichever one we wanted. After looking at the twin and double rooms in The Old School House we... more
