We often stay at the Marriott Hotel due to the good location. Close to beach front, pleasant walk to Mumble. However, the Hotel is definitely getting worse. To me it no longer meets the standards of what your would expect of a Marriott Hotel. Rooms have been recently redone and nice, but the cleanliness is poor. In particular, on this... more

We have stayed overnight at the Marriott on several occasions and it is a good hotel. The position, close to the Marina and seafront, is excellent, and it is in easy walking distance of the city centre and Swansea Bay. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast is good, but not excellent - primarily in delivery. Food is good, but the... more

Stayed for 2 nights 16 and 17 May 2009. Spacious room looking over the marina, large, comfortable bed, high quality decor, decent bathroom - the usual high standard of accommodation that we have found the Marriott chain to provide. My husband smokes, so we were actually grateful to be able to book a smoking room in which my husband could... more

From the FO to all restaurant staff, the watchword was courtesy and friendliness, with the right mix of formality and informality. Rooms had excellent sea-view, daily change of snacks, tea/coffee maker with all ingredients replaced promptly, iron, etc. Rooms well-done & clean. Bathroom well-done & clean. Food excellent, even for a vegetarian like me. One of the best hotels i... more

For the second year running, we chose to stay at the Swansea Marriot. Average facilities and location but we were impressed by the staff last year. It is doubtful we will be back a third time because the first floor we were on stunk of cigarette smoke! I was amazed as I thought the UK has a smoking ban but... more

Traveled with my husband on a business trip and stayed 3 nights. It was a 5 min. taxi ride from the train station. Lobby area was warm and inviting. Check-in was quick and was upgraded to a corner room overlooking the marina. The Room was huge! And the view was even bigger! The windows even opened. The bed & pillows... more

We stayed one night at the Marriott in Swansea. Check in was friendly and quick, and the receptionist offered to arrange a meal at the onsite restaurant. The nice, clean room was a little small compared to some Marriotts, but was finished and furnished well. The only thing that let it down was an old TV set with a dodgy... more

Having stayed in many hotels in the UK I was pleasantly suprised by the size of the room. I booked an Executive King and the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The shower was excellent, plenty of pressure and nice soaps and towels. One of the "extras" with the room was the Welsh Chocolates (or a fruit basket).... more

Found the hotel no problem. It's close enough to town to have a wander in the evening but far enough out that parking/access is not a hassle. Rooms and hotel in general very clean, well furnished and comfortable, but gym facilities (other than the pool) are somewhat outdated compared to more recently built properties. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel... more
