From the FO to all restaurant staff, the watchword was courtesy and friendliness, with the right mix of formality and informality. Traveled with my husband on a business trip and stayed 3 nights. It was a 5 min. taxi ride from the train station. Lobby area was warm and inviting. Having stayed in many hotels in the UK I was pleasantly suprised by the size of the room. I booked an Executive King and the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The shower was excellent, plenty of pressure and nice soaps and towels. One of the "extras" with the room was the Welsh Chocolates (or a fruit basket).... more

Found the hotel no problem. It's close enough to town to have a wander in the evening but far enough out that parking/access is not a hassle. Rooms and hotel in general very clean, well furnished and comfortable, but gym facilities (other than the pool) are somewhat outdated compared to more recently built properties.
