Love visiting this quaint B&B when we're visiting Wales. Rooms clean and tidy, lovely to have the use of the pool and jacuzzi too! Kids loved this especially. Viv and Gordon are always welcoming on our return visits. Highly recommended for couples and families alike.

We arrived at 7pm & had a lovely greeting. We were blown away by the standard of our family room, 2 double beds & a single, beautifully decorated and very comfortable beds. It is a gorgeous historic house but had everything we needed. It is very close to a fabulous pub (The Rev James Pub) and we had a lovely... More

My partner and I very much enjoyed out stay at island house. The house itself is lovely, very old with lots of original features. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, I liked reading the booklets about the history of the house. Also a bible in the bedside table which is a traditional touch you don't see in... More

Small welsh industrial town on the estuary, beautiful walks, good pubs, the town is steeped in religious history dating back to 1900 where a christian revival started and went around the world. The connection that island house has directly with the revival is that Mr Evan Roberts was born in this house and this is where he grew up with his family.The... We were booked into Island House for work, and new nothing about the history. It is a traditional British B&B is all respects, with welcoming hosts and good hospitality. The main plus points were a good breakfast, a very comfortable bed, good location and the feeling that you could be left alone, or immerse yourself in the history of the... More

A little gem, run by Viv and Gordon. Both very welcoming and very freindly. The house is comforting and homely. Rooms very clean and comfotable and airy. Good breakfast. A pub is a short walk away serving good food at a good price. The B&B is very good value and happy to recomend as a place to stay, also able... More

We found this little gem a few years ago whilst our daughter was at Uni in Swansea and we were so inspired that we stayed each time we needed a bed in the Swansea area. Its not a great drive through the village but the road toward Island House is delightful and its a great place to spot some unusual... More

This is very well run B&B. We stayed three nights in the large family room (2 adults and 2 children). Excellent breakfast. Rooms and the shared bathroom were very clean. The area is very quiet. It is a perfect starting point to visit the Gower peninsula (by car). Our children enjoyed the swimming pool in the garden! I can strongly... More

The town where the Island b&b is located is probably not the prettiest in Wales but the spot is definitely the prettiest in the town. Gordon & Viv are certainly original people but very welcoming and we really enjoyed the bbq next to the pool with them and the other residents. I'll only object that, according to the price, the...
